Today I received a bill for long distance service from Sprint. I changed long distance carriers two, possibly three months ago, and Verizon said they would contact Sprint to shut the account down for me. When I received bills I called Verizon and encountered a nasty man saying that only third parties can turn off the Sprint account. Then I called Sprint and they said they have not received any order from Verizon, and I was assured that the account is now closed down. So here it is another month and I am still being billed by Sprint $8.64 - now at least $26 over what I should be paying. The reason why I went with Verizon was to close down an account I was being charged for which I never used, and now insult on injury am being billed double usage (by two companies). I called today and was assured (again) that I would not have to pay another amount by Sprint - and I know this is not over. Does anybody have any suggestions on how to handle a company that keeps billing regardless of what one does given their remedies and poor customer service? Does any corporation even understand the idea behind customer service and actually give people what the name implies?

I have contacted Sprint many times in the past few days.I have had many positions explained to me -from I owe zero to that is missed some kind of date and I still owe the money.

So IF I took the communication of the one that said I owed ZERO I would have a blemish on my credit if I did not pay. This is infuriating! They have had a customer who has paid their monthly bill for many years, and seldom used their service,
basically paying to have a long distance possibility. I now have found out that Verizon and Sprint do not have a clue about how to give customer service.
Then when the Verizon rep asked me to look at my bill and send them information
I found that they did not change old my address to my new address and for about $20 they refuse any restitution.

I curse the company and all those that screw customers because they can
may they fry in their own created Hell and receive the same treatment they give us.
I am now their enemy.

This is an update. It has turned out that Sprint has billed me for an address I have not lived at for four years. I never noticed until this bill and was asked by the representative online for my information. I have contacted them asking them to refund me all money that was funneled to my previous address. Of course, I really want the money back for three months that I should not have had to pay. Telephone calls achieve absolutely NOTHING.
