Square says

"We're sorry to inform you that we are deactivating your account. We reviewed your account and found that your business is prohibited by Section 3 of the Payment Terms and/or Section 4 of the General Terms, which means we cannot accept payments related to your business."

Problem is, checking those terms one cannot find where I went afoul.

This was out of the blue and  meanwwhile web services for my web only company came to a screeching halt until I secured another vendor. Which happened.

The only possible correlation I could think of was an on going tussle with support over them not sending me

accurate transaction confirmation info. Literally using an email address where a name should be used. Support kept insisting I was using a mobile app but ,  the usage was via a 3rd party s/w platform WIX, specifically Wix 123 Forms.  They were completely confused

Either support got annoyed OR they didnt like me pointing out a serious flaw, something way outside of accepted accounting practices and not auditable.

I was fine with leaving, but not abruptly and without just cause. This cost, what is for me, a lot of money. Just not enough to get lawyers involved.

SO, if you use Square to run payments, be advised that they may cancel you at whim and recourse is virtually nil.

Try calling them, you cannot without a user code given on site. But once cancelled, you cannot get on the site.

Luckliy I have all monies due , unlike some others Ive read on here.

Seems Pretty Clear...

AUTHOR: Robert - (United States)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 16, 2018

Not sure why  you think the reason is vague, as it seems pretty clear.  They stated they are closing your account because the type of business you are in is against their policy.  It took me about 30 seconds to find Section 3 of their terms.  In which it states the following...

3. Prohibited Industries

You may not use the Payment Services for the following businesses or business activities..(8) internet/mail order/telephone order pharmacies or pharmacy referral services (where fulfillment of medication is performed with an internet or telephone consultation, absent a physical visit, including re-importation of pharmaceuticals from foreign countries)

Now,  since your entire line of business based on how you identified yourself seems to fall right into that category, it seems pretty clear as to why they closed your account.
