I am writing to complain about the terrible experience I have had with Squaretrade. I have been an eBay seller for 6 years, now a Power seller who turns over $500,000 a year. I have purchased 4 extended warranties and have had major complaints. This company has worked on the principle, ignore you enough, and tell you what you want to hear and you will go away.

Never buy an extended warranty from Squaretrade. The issue is that to my disappointment it has happened three times. One where I cancelled the extended warranty and I have emailed called (I have records) over a dozen times and never received a refund. They have blatantly refused to handle my complaints, now even refusing to respond to emails, and never acting on promises made on the phone.

As it's over 12 months now, I have not got my refund. Now I have another compliant due o a faulty DVD player. I have emailed Squaretrade 3 times, and they will ask a question, when I reply they ignore my email, hoping that I will just give up as it's too hard.

I believe that this company is riding on the coattails of eBay and it's an overall negative experience. If you buy an extended warranty off them, there is a low chance of getting an RMA return. Every step has been a struggle. Im terrified of even sending the goods in as I am sure there are many huge hurdles to overcome well before they even consider a refund for faulty goods bought on eBay.

If this is a trend I would strongly advise you to pass this on to your supervisor. This makes me extremely frustrated with my eBay experience and as I turn over $500,000 a year buying in the USA system and selling in the Australian eBay system I was hoping to get a response.
