SRILATHA POTLURI & MADHAVI SREE BOBBA FAKE ADDRESS PROVIDED. SAP BI/BO TRAINING , Internet

In November 2010, I read an advertisement published by Srilatha Potluri, for conducting SAP BI/BO training classes. 

The advertisement was on Sulekha.com with the following business profile. SRILATHA POTLURI Address: 5443 N MACARTHUR BLVD, IRVING, TEXAS 75038. In response to the advertisement, I asked for more details of the course.

The same evening I got a call from Srilatha from number 972-607-4661 and she claimed she was based out to Texas and provided the following details. SAP BI/BW training - $600 to be paid in 2 installments of ($400 and $200) SAP BO training for additional $200.

I told Srilatha that I was interested in the BI training and not the BO. She agreed to complete the course by mid of January as there was a opening in my company that I wanted to apply for by the mid of Jan 2011.

She organized a demo session on December 1st and December 2nd. She asked me to attend the demo session and if I would like the demo, I would have to pay her the $400 for continuing with the batch. She assured me that should would complete the batch my mid of Jan and that she was confident I would be able to apply for the internal position.

On 1st December the demo started 30 minutes later than schedule. I did not ask for a reason and nor was I give one for the delay. Next day the after waiting an hour I got a call from Srilatha telling me that the 2nd session of demo had to be cancelled as she had a production issue.

She told me that there was a batch beginning from the 4th and if I wanted to attend it, I would have to make the payment of $400. She asked me to pay $50 for system access, but I did not need system access as I have my own trial version, I agreed to pay $400 to enroll in the class.

At the time of enrolment, I was assured that she would complete the training by mid of Jan, provide me trial interview questions, placement assistance and resume writting help. if I was not happy with her training she would give a full refund, and that she was confident I would like her training.

She sent me an email requesting me to make the payment to Madhav Bobba’s Bank of America account claiming Madhavi Bobba is her sister-in-law. I made arrangements to transfer the money to Madhavi Bobba on the 3rd of December.

On 4th December the class was conducted 30 minutes later than schedule.  There were two other students and it went well. On 5th December the Class was called off with some excuse and we did not say much.

The following weekend there was no class again and no sign of Srilatha. The number that she provided was not being answered. During the week I got a call from Srilatha telling me that the classes would be on weekdays instead of weekend.

The next class was a repetition of the same topics as two new students arrived. From that day the classes were very irregular, lame excuses and on some days the 5 of us would wait for hours and drop off the call in disappointment.

A month passed and not even 20% of the course had progressed, she got very irregular. She suddenly calls some days and says we have the class and then never shows up herself. In the month of Jan she disappeared for 3 weeks and we are not able to contact her by phone and she did not respond to the email.

The position I was supposed to apply was filled by an external. I had hoped to apply for the position and that was the reason of enrolling for this SAP BI class and I was left with nothing. I decided not to continue the batch and asked Srilatha for a refund.

She never replied to my emails and called me one day and promised to complete the batch by end of Jan, but that never happened.

We students from the batch got together and decided to investigate the matter and found that Srilatha Potluri is not even in the US and had made false claims she is in Dallas, TX. All the emails she was sending were originating from an IP in Hyderabad. The address provided by Madhavi Bobba is different from her actual address.  Srilatha Potluri had been using magic jack and calling using a US number. We were able to track down Srilatha Potluri and ask her for a refund of all our fees, to which she flatly refused and has been avoiding any contact with the batch members.

As per her agreement, she was to complete the class in 5 weeks, provide us resume writing help, mock interviews and placement assistance. This was a big scam that I fell for.
 
I am not the only one in this situation; there are 6 others who are a victim of this scam. Guys be careful to who you are paying the money to. When you get emails from someone offering classes, please look at he message header and check the origination IP of the email. Do not transfer the money to anyone other than the name of the trainer.
 
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ‘SRILATHA POTLURI’ TO ANYONE. ALSO CAREFUL IF SHE OPERTATES WITH ANOTHER NAME AND ASKS FOR PAYMENTS IN NAME OF ‘MADAVI BOBBA’. THIS IS A BIG SCAM OPERATING FROM HYDERABAD, INDIA.
