I will never go here again. My family has been going here for years and I have only gone because my dad knows about cars and trusted this family run/owned business. We'll they are beyond crooked. First, I took my Ford focus in for a used transmission to be put in and that took like 3 weeks with no updates or anything them just taking their slow time. When I finally got the car, you would think it should be perfect with all the time they got. NO! It was shutting off when I would put my car in reverse and press the gas. While driving for one day my car would die when I pressed the brake at a red light or stop sign. I took it in for free work because it was suppose to be covered, under a limited warranty, for transmission problems since they just put it in. Well when I show up days later, I was told I owed over a hundred dollars because he needed to give me a tune up. They never called and told me this. This seems to be there motive, take in the car for one type of work and find other problems to fix then work on it without your knowledge and charge you the price later. So I had to pay it.

Later because I thought I had another transmission problem since the car was still driving weird (was misfiring and not accelerating correctly) I took it back in to see what the problem was. They took it in and asked me if I was going to wait. I said yes thinking it would be a short time till they told me what they problem was. Two hours later with still no word, I said I would come back later. With no call, I returned to find no word about my car. I waited another 3 or more hours to no avail. I then asked if I could take my car because they were taking to long and she said no that the car was up on whatever and the engine was taken apart because they were trying to fix something in it. WTF where did that come from?! It was suppose to be my transmission. Now 1 month and almost a week later, I am still waiting for my car and have to call for my own updates and keep getting the run around for a definitive price. Whatever you do, DON"T TRUST THESE PEOPLE. Joan will not live up to her word and call you back with details or a price and I don't know if scott really knows the work he is doing!!! I will never go back to this place again unless I know what is wrong with my car and have bought the parts, myself, for them to put on.

During the time that I was waiting to receive a response or phone call about my car and received none to my personal number, I was angry that it was taking sooo long to know what was happening and the price of things. I had to rely on someone else for a ride to work and I hate doing that. When the time finally came for me to pick up my car, S&S Automotive, treated me with respect and gave me a huge discount on the work they had did. If I could remove my first complaint I would. Although I don't agree on some of the ways they go about things, they do great work and you would be pleased with the outcome. Confrontations should be handled face to face and to go about trashing a company online was the wrong way to do things. I hope people will read this rebuttal and get a chance to have professional work done for a cheaper price than anyone else.
