S&S Fence & Construction WARNING to avoid at all cost! Leonardtown Maryland

 I had S&S Fence company come out to do my fence for the house. I should've known better when they rescheduled to meet to meet twice and when Scott Massey (owner) finally came out, he was late and his excuse was "well i assumed you would be still sleeping." Our appt. was at 10am. Anyways, we agreed on pricing, warranty and handed Scott a down payment. Scott literally took a month to finally come out and installed my fence. After multiple calls asking when he would come out, Scott would continue to give me false weekend dates. Which i had to call off work to ensure I would be home. Of course another excuse, "I was waiting for another client to put their down payment too so I can buy in bulk." So finally, a month late his team has arrived installing the fence. Everything went well until i went outside to see where the double gate was placed. Mind you, i have a second merging driveway towards the backyard. It only made sense that the double gate would go there. BUT NO. The two main beams were placed 5 feet away from the driveway. So Scott did not clear this with me prior to making this last minute change. His excuse was he did not want a single beam attached to the house. Which I agree with after the fact, but if you're making a drastic change, I'm pretty sure the customer would like to be in the loop. Everything else went smooth after and Scott's team completed the fence in one day. Two months later, the double gate doors broke off by the hinges. I realized Scott (who was the one responsible for that gate) placed the hinges on the edge of the beam which caused it to completed ripoff after two months. I've attempted to call Scott MULTIPLE times. Literally 2 out of 20 calls he actually answered. Told him the issue and reminded him about the 18months warranty he promised me (also on contract). After 3 months of dodging me, i've finally resorted to writing this report and filing lawsuit soon. This is a warning to all who is thinking of using their services. Majority of his advertisement will be on craigslist. I hope i'll save the next person time and money by reading this report. Thanks for reading.
