Does St. Augustine School of Medical Assistants Uphold Honesty?

Biting The Hand...

It is no secret that St. Augustine Medical Assistant School/St. Augustine Educational Services which offers online education for medical assistants has been looking at MedicalAssistant.net and others of our vast number of well respected related websites on the Internet for years as a reliable source for ideas, examples, and guidance regarding the latest trends in the medical assistant profession, training, and education. In 2003 St. Augustine Medical Assistant School contacted us via email for support and advise. We gladly helped and provided insight and tips to benefit their new site, however we declined their request to form an advertising partnership with Certmedassistant.com and MedicalAssistant.net.

In September of 2005, we reported St. Augustine Educational Service's website for violations of ISP's Terms of Service TOS, and intellectual property rights violations/copyright infringement. Entire paragraphs and images were lifted off MedicalAssistant.net and published to one of their sites without our prior knowledge and permission.

When St. Augustine Educational Service's Web site had to be shut down as a result of their shameless action, Dr. Jeff Andrews retalliated by contacting our media partners under false pretense to pry into our business and by sending anonymous emails of dubious nature directly to Danni R.--owner of MedicalAssistant.net! As a result we had to consult with a copyrights attorney (Fierst, Pucci & Kinder Law Firm) to find out how we can protect our business and websites against such actions and conduct which is counter to accepted ethical values, including integrity, and honesty.

Dr. Jeff Andrews, aka SRSPsych@aol.com or drjeffandrews@yahoo.com at that time concealed his true identity, and denied his affiliation with St. Augustine Medical Assistant School. However a recent entry in St. Augustine School of Medical Assistants Blog confirms that Dr. Jeff Andrews is directly affiliated with St. Augustine Medical Assistant School where he functions as one of their new Medical Assistant faculty advisors.

And this is why we will not, till this very day, allow St. Augustine Medical Assistant School/St. Augustine Educational Services advertising (including AdWord Google ads) on any of our medical assistant websites!

Our apologizes to the Medicalassistantnet corporation

AUTHOR: Dr. William L. Barnes, PhD - (USA)

POSTED: Sunday, October 18, 2009

This does not appears not to be a complaint filed by a past student, customer or client, but rather a complaint and accusation that one of our companys past outsourced website designers may have inadvertently used copyrighted text owned by the Medicalassistantnet corporation when describing the medical assistant profession on our website. Once made aware of this error all allegedly copyrighted materials were promptly removed from our website and additional care is now taken to assure our website designers use only original, fully permission or public domain source materials in the future.

In addition we have no record of Dr. Jeff Andrews as an employee, consultant or staff member of our company. We will look further into this issue to assure such inappropriate behavior is not conducted by anyone affiliated with our company, third party web-designers or hired to represent us.

As such, we apologize for any confusion or inconvenience to the Medicalassistantnet corporation and if we can be of any additional assistance in this matter please do not hesitate to contact us.

Regards,
William L. Barnes, PhD

St. Augustine's Dr. Jeff Andrews

AUTHOR: Danni - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, January 20, 2007

For clarification the following should be added regarding the Rip-Off Report against St. Augustine School of Medical Assistants:

Upon investigation we found that there is indeed a well known Dr. Jeff or Jeffrey Andrews practicing. This Dr. Jeff Andrews is real and has nothing to do with the "Dr. Jeff Andrews" that we speak of in our complaint above.

After an investiagation of the IP numbers embedded in the headers of the original emails that were sent signed "Dr. Jeff Andrews" we found that these emails originated from the exact same computer as those from SRSPsych@aol.com from the St. Augustine School of Medical Assistants.

The real Dr. Jeff Andrews, who very likely has no idea this rip-off ever took place, has nothing to do with this situation, and this Rip-off report.

Anybody who want's to know more about St. Augustine School of Medial Assistants should contact the Better Business Bureau (BBB), where a number of complaints have already been filed in Florida, and Georgia.
