If you are looking for help around your home in the Austin area, DO NOT HIRE CHORE MASTERS!! There are many other companies that can do the job right and deliver service with a friendly and professional demeanor but Chore Masters cannot deliver either. Not only was the work not done as requested and left incomplete but the owner, Staci Myers was a nightmare to deal with and she has yet to fix the problem. I'm not holding my breath because she has no plans to honor the job or treat her customers fairly and with respect. She's not the brightest star in the sky but I would think somebody at the company she runs would help her figure out how to complete the most basic tasks like customer service and fulfilling job obligations with qualified and civil workers.

I hired Chore Masters to do several small to medium size jobs at my home recently. The jobs ranged from general maintenance any grown man should have been capable of handling to a few more detailed specialized projects I had been putting off that required a small bit of electrical work to complete. I paid a very competitive price for the work and that was arranged prior to any workers setting foot on my property. Fine, I was willing to pay the quoted price and even pay upfront a large portion as some subcontracting was required.

The only job done with any level of competency was a simple cleanup and pruning of my yard. The two men who performed that task did a fine job and left my property clean and noticeably improved as far as my shrubs and trees went. The other 6 project tasks were a nightmare and 4 of those were never completed. They still have not been completed. I'm talking a half finished paint job and wiring left exposed in my yard and pathway. And by the way, the outside lighting and its exposed wires is not only dangerous it is also not working correctly.

Half the time the lights will not turn on and the other half they go on and off all night. The windows I paid to have washed were not all washed. One side of my house still has dirty windows so I could not enjoy the full effect. The windows that were "washed" all stopped looking clean about 6-10 inches from the top down. Yes, the job required a step ladder and/or an extension of some sort but any moron would know that. The concrete work cracked within days and a planter literally crumbled on one whole side.

The tile was installed without measuring the floor and there are gaps some as wide as 2 inches where no cut tiles of any sort were placed. Staci Myers answer to that was that you couldn't really see if because it was under the sink and on the corners where no one looked anyways. That was about the same as her response to everything. I have not given up trying to get a refund or at the very least having the work completed and fixed by qualified people but I will likely end up hiring other contractors and paying again to fix the mess Staci Myers and Chore Masters left behind. They sure lost my business and I would have been a great repeat customer.
