Heres my story as written to the DMV:
When I first went to Stamas Car and Truck center to look at the Nissan Sentra I noticed that the seat belts were ratcheted down so they were unusable. I was then allowed off the lot to test drive the car on public roads without a functioning seat belts. Furthermore I was then allowed to take the car to my mechanic in Johnston with no functioning seat belts and I also learned that the driver side had no airbag. The dash lights also didn't work so you couldn't see the speedometer at night. With all these problems Stamas put a passing inspection sticker on the car when at the time it had no functioning front seat belts, no driver airbag, the dash lights didn't work and the spare tire was no good because it had a huge bubble in it. I had agreed to buy the car when they got it fixed. It took them a few weeks to get it fixed and in the meantime they bought the title of the car I was trading in approximately a week before I even received the Nissan Sentra. When I signed the papers to purchase the car I signed a warranty with Buyers Choice, Inc. because they said that they were "giving it to me". I proceeded to ask Stamas to cancel it and I was told to call the company that the warranty was under. I called Buyers Choice and could not cancel the warranty because they said that it had not been submitted to them. I kept calling Buyers choice until they said they had my warranty information. Buyers choice received my warranty information on 2/29/08 and I had purchased the car on 11/30/07. It took Stamas three months to submit the warranty to Buyer's choice. In the end I got a lot of runaround and hassle from this dealer. I have driven to Stamas in West Warwick on at least 10 occasions to try to get everything cleared up.

First off this "fuel injection work" was what you were supposed to fix per written and signed paperwork. Instead your techs took a code reader and just reset the check engine light. There's some of Stamas auto's "faithful service". My mechanic never gave me a "clean bill of health". I was told it needed a sensor for the fuel injection system which Stamas ignored as I stated above. I mean come on, this car was on the lot with no functioning seat belts. I won't stand to be called a lier. Everything that I wrote was honest to my best account of the situation.
By the way. Your honest practices must be why your Warwick location closed.

Stamas Auto and Truck Center has been faithfully serving the public for more than fifteen years. It has always been our policy to meet or exceed our customer's expectations. We consider "Tomsyco" to be unreasonable and untruthful. We were in no way trying to misrepresent our vehicle, in fact before he purchased the car he was allowed to take it to his mechanic who must have given it a clean bill of health. While we will agree that there were several issues connected to "syco's" Sentra, we worked our best to remedy each and every one at no expense to the customer. In fact, two months after he bought the car we sent it out to have work done on the fuel injection system (long after we were obligated to) and at our expense. He also neglected to mention that we actually wrote him a check to pay for new stereo speakers because he had specific ones he wanted. He was refunded for his warranty and started making complaints to the dealer's commission and the BBB before we were able to satisfy his demands. In our years of experience we have never dealt with such an unreasonable and demanding person.
Thank you for the opportunity to rebut Tomsyco's slanderous accusations. We only wish we had found the report sooner.
