Standard Financial Inc. Not quite the victim Sydney Nova Scotia

I have had the luck of not having been a victim. What I did was research the company.
I called the company the Standard Financial Inc. were using, informed them and faxed a copy of the letter and check to them.
I then proceeded to call the bank they were trying to have the checks withdrawn from. The numerous banks suggested I do not cash the check but to bring it in to have it checked out.
I have escaped from being a victim, especially when the check did come at the most opportuned times. When we are desperate for money.
