Like every person in America, you wish you could win a sweepstakes even if you know you didn't enter one. I received a letter dated 28/04/2008 which was my first clue that is that a typing error??? Enclosed was a check for $4,750.00 payable to me, and the letter states it was to be payable to my tax agent. Silly me, of course you are your own tax agent! It was supposed to be the money to pay for the taxes on the $450,000.00 sweepstakes winnings. Now tell me, how would Canada know what the taxes are in Wisconsin on a sweepstakes winning from Canada? First they want you to call long distance to Canada and speak with Brian Scott (1-778-859-4559) the claims agent who just blows smoke up your a*s! The check is drawn on JPMorgan Chase Bank Routing #021000021 Account #6905868401, my check number was 3205. The check looks legal, has a watermark on it and Endorsement infor on the back. I called the bank at 800-935-9935 only to find out it is a valid account. Do I cash the check????? Help?
