Star Auto Restorations in Mansfield, TX owned and operated by Alrick Washington is a corrupt, immoral, ruthless and shameless paint and body shop to do business with.  Anyone looking for a paint and body shop in the Dallas / Ft. Worth area I recommend that you stay away from this disappointing shop.  Drop your car off for paint and all you get is a lot of excuses and no progress. 

I took my 1966 Mustang to Star Auto Restorations in May 2015, for a complete paint and body work.  Alrick said he will do the job for $5,000.00 and I would have to pay half before start any work.  I agreed with his terms and price; three days later I gave him a check for $2,500.00 which he promptly cashed.   

I told Alrick I agreed to his terms and I want a contract, he said no problem and that he will email it to me.  I spent the next three months texting and requesting a copy of the contract but all I got was excuses and lies.  Alrick does not answer phone calls; he only communicates via text, he picks and chooses which text to respond to.

Custom made parts were stolen off of my car while at Star Auto Restorations, I discussed this with Alrick and he agreed that the parts were on the car when it came into his shop and agreed to replace them.  Ask yourself Is this a shop that you would do business with?  Based on integrity is would say no. 

The following month I went by the shop to check on my car and I was outraged to see the employees using my car as a table.  Employees were sanding and body fill parts from other cars on the trunk of my car as if it’s a table.  In response to my car being used a table text and sent pictures to Alrick, he said nothing in the contract states parts can’t be placed on car.  With a response like that is this someone you want to do business with?  Star Auto Restorations / Alrick Washington have no respect for paying customers vehicles.

After 11 months of little to no progress and my patience running thin, I decided to pick up my car.  I am now in a battle to get my deposit refunded to me.  I got a lot of excuses as to why there was no progress on my car; I am now hearing the same excuses and run around as to why I can’t get my deposit.

Warning! Star Auto Restorations and Alrick Washington is not the shop you want to do business with learn from my experience.  NOT TRUST WORTHY!!!
