They called and said we won a $500 shopping spree, just had to pay 4.95 for shipping. We said we'd mail a check, just give us the address. They said no, we needed to give them our routing #, checking acct #, that we were going to use. Tried saying that they could not do anything with just the account number, that they needed our authorization first to get anything, and they would suffer a fine if they took more.
When we asked for a website, they told us at first that they did not have one. It was their 25th anniversary. Then they told us that it was under construction.
A communications company that's been around that DOES NOT HAVE A WEBSITE, and is still in business?!?!?!?!?
When we asked for a phone number, we were passed us off to a "supervisor," since the operator who called us DID NOT KNOW THE NUMBER. When we did reverse lookup on Verizon's website, it came up as something like the number does not exist.
BTW, the woman's name was "Susan Jones" with employee #10990. Real official sounding.

Hi,
I wanted to let you know that I found the Star communications website from my better business bureau. It is www.starcommunicationsllc.com. I hope that this helps you out some. I filed a complaint on their comment page, but surprise, surprise, no response from them. I have called, emailed and called some more and no luck. I hope others read this and go on their website and list a complaint as well. Thanks.
