I am a single mother of 3 small boys, I do not know much about cars. The salesman, Jed Appleby, was pushing this 95 Nissan Pathfinder....he told me it had passed the "101 POINT INSPECTION" and was as good as a brand new car. I test drove the car and hear a noise in the front end.

asked my boyfriend to please come and look at the car for me. The left front strut was not attached. If i were to take my kids in that car on the highway, we could've been killed. When my boyfriend told him that the strut was completely destroyed, he said, "it wasn't like that five minutes ago", insinuating that we damaged it on the road test (we went around 1 square block).

To top it all off, he is giving us the runaround in returning our $100.00 deposit. Not taking our calls, telling us it takes up to a week to cut a check, giving me all different names of people to contact.

I have to work ten hours to earn $100, I think it should be illegal to mislead people that way, and to keep the deposit from being returned to me is simply unbelievable. Do not do business with these people, their attitude is not "The customer comes first", they survive on the "Hook 'em once, and get 'em the heck outta here" scheme. Terrible Businessmen, terrible people.

To the above car buying victim. I Stick Bogart the Auto Buyer's Advocate at badbusinessbureau.com suggest the following. Nissan motor corp. is one of few car manufactures that love to know how their franchised car dealers are treating the car shoppers as well as the car buyers.



I suggest that you contact Nissan Motor corp. at:

Nissan Motors, 18501 S Figueroa St, Gardena CA 90248.



You should write them a complete letter explaining what this car dealer has done and that they kept your $100. I would print this whole Rip-off Report and mail it to Nissan Motor corp. Let them know, you will update the report with their response and how you take care of this Rip-off.



You can also call Nissan Motor Corp. at 1-800-647-7261 and inform them as to how you were treated at this unscrupulous car dealer. I would also ask the manufacture in your letter to look into the possibility of this car dealer doing what is called "C. S. I. Diversion" Nissan does not like it when they find a car dealer "Diverting their C.S. I.



C.S.I. Diversion is where an unscrupulous, dirty car dealer sends fake address information on the new unhappy car buyers to the car maker. This is to try to stop the maker from finding out how poor the car dealer is treating the new car buyer. I have proof that this is going on NATION WIDE!!!



This tactic of diverting the CSI so you never receive it, can be deadly. When the auto maker has a life saving re-call on your auto, you will never know about it.



Please write Nissan Motor Corp. and explain it all to them. I SAY, TELL THEM EVERYTHING !!!!! DO NOT JUST CALL THE 800# Write them a letter. It will get action. And if you want more inside dealer info, email me before you go to any car dealer. I can and WILL save you big money. My email address is

How to take action against Corrupt Auto Dealers and other unscrupulous businesses

While you are there each day, I would had out copies of your Rip-off Report. If they kick you off the property, make big posters that say:

.......
Koeppel
VW
Rip-off
......

Other potential buyers passing buy will remember this.

Potential buyers will most likely NOT enter the dealership.
Stay on the sidewalk. Most likely, other victims will stop by and help you.
This is a very rewarding experience!

Walk back and forth over the driveway entrance.
That is part of the public right-of-way. This is legal everywhere in the USA.
You are exercising your 1st and 14th amendment rights.

For every hour you are out there, let them know your cost to stand out side and picket is $200 an hour. That you will not stop till they fix your car or refund your money in full, including your picketing fees. Give no discounts!

Police cannot stop you.
Keep out of the street and off their private property.

Once you are out there, you will realize this was a very rewarding experience and you will enjoy yourself! Get friends to join you!
