I purchased 2 Yorkies from Starmye. The first one arrived healthy and happy. The second one that arrived a few months later arrived very ill and had vomit and bloody diarrehea all over the crate and the puppy. I had to end up taking the dog to the vet after it wouldn't stop vomitting and having bloody diarrehea. After several rounds of tests on the dog the vet found out it had intestinal parasites also knows as Cocidia. It is very contagious and something this puppy had before she sent it to me.
I contacted Starmye about this and she refused to pay for the $600 worth of vet bills I had incurred from taking this dog to the vet immediately after picking it up from the airport. She wouldn't even reimburse a portion of the bill. After many conversations with her she told me to send her the vet bill for review. I did and she would never return my phone calls or emails after that. She told me after I found out the dog was so sick that this dog didn't have parasites when it was with her, and even the vet acknowledged that this dog had to have been sick when it was put on the plane to me.
Starmye is dishonest and sells very sick puppies. I have no doubt that she is a puppy mill and doesn't care about the health of the dogs she is selling or the customers she has. She is only for profit, and wants to take people's money. Please don't buy any animal from her animals from her, as I was told by the vet that the puppy I had purchased from her would've died had I not taken it to the Vet ASAP.

Coccidia is considered to be common in young puppies, and not neccesarily a sign of poor husbandry, or a reflection on the breeder. It exists in their systems, but pets with low immune systems (like puppies) are more susceptible to infections. Alot of the state lemon laws actually exclude internal and external parasites. The first puppy was completely healthy. I would definantly suggest a little more research before trashing people's reputation. She also may have had a mini heart attack at the thought of a $600 bill for coccidia, though your vet probably ran a parvo test as well considering the symptoms. It is also possible that the pup was not showing any symptoms while with the breeder, or any that would be specifically noticable like they were after the stress of the hubaloo before, and the flight to the new home. But, it was at least incubating before the flight. I do agree that the customer service could have been better if that part of things happened as you say. If she would have offerred you $50 for a fecal exam and albon or whatever medication they gave you would we be reading this post?
