Starving Student Inc. (Movers) Starving Student Movers Inc. Damaged furniture and failed to pay court ordered damages. Seattle, Washington

I hired Starving Students to move my furniture and other household items 6 miles. Due to poor wrapping, handling and loading of the items, more than 105 items were damaged. I took photos and filed a claim with the company. Without ever visiting my home and seeing the damage first hand the response was "looks like normal wear and tear". One of the many photos show my kitchen table pedestal broken in half. Lamps were smashed and broken. Picture frames damaged. A tanning bed has all the lamps broken and the plastic housing cracked. A 5' tall floor lamp was placed on the front lawn next to a perfectly flat sidewalk. The lamp fell over and smashed the glass lampshade. One cannot imagine that so much damage could be done in such a short move.

I filed in small claims and presented more than 100 photos of damage. I was awarded more than $5,000. The company ignored the order and never paid a penny.
