WORST SERVICE, STAY AWAY FROM HERE, I warned you. This place acts so nice and takes your money to start a police. Then tries to blame you as the insured. So I was side swiped , the other driver's fault, and my insurance company (State Farm) is trying to make me pay for the "deductible:" when the other driver is insures, and I have FULL COVERAGE. LOL. Crooked State farm and agents. So after arguing and having a fowl person to deal with at sate farm, I called the agent Tod, OMG he was so rude, he said he felt like I "was out of line". WOW I got screwed by my insurance company. I will seek legal counsel. Hope you learn that you can't screw people over in business.Bad, bad, bad business tactics. I'll be sure to get new insurance soon. So I have to get lawyers involved. And to think I give State farm $500.00 a month for nothing.

please don't try to educate me on deductables. I know h*e they work. But you are very confused and I am sure your insurance loves you if you pay deductables when you are NOT at fault.
But we all do stupid things I guess, you just pay deductable lol

When a driver such as myself has FULL coverage, unisured coverage !!! Then the insurance company SHOULD NOT and DOES NOT need to get a deductable from me. FurtherMORE when the accident was NOT my fault, it was the other drivers fault. And the other driver is fulle covered, then AGAIN I do NOT need to pay a deductable to my insurance company... Any other great ideas you have let me know?

Why are you seeking payment from your insurer if the other guy is at fault. You needed to let State Farm you were in the accident, yes, but its the other guy's insurance you need to seek redress from. If you maybe were looking for State Farm to pay you with the idea of them later going after the other party, yeah, you're going to have to front up the deductible, which you'd presumably get back from the other insurer.
That said, I'm blown away by how much you pay for insurance. How many accidents have you been in that weren't someone else's fault?
I also can't stand State Farm for reasons going way back.

What the other poster stated was correct, but one more thing to add.
If the other driver is at fault, you need to make a claim on their insurance for any of your "out of pocket" expenses. This includes the deductible. You MAY also be able to claim things such as Rental Car coverage while your car is being repaired, lost time from work, and even a "loss of value" claim on your car due to the accident. If your out of picket expenses are significant and the other insurance company is giving you trouble getting a lawyer to advise you in this case may be appropriate, but otherwise you would just be waisting your money.

I think you are confused on how a deductible works

The best thing for you to do, before you spend money on an attorney consultation, is to look up how a deductible works in insurance.
A deductible is the amount of money you must pay before the insurance company will pay out on a claim. You choose your deductible when you select your policy. The monthly amount you pay to the insurance company covers you per the policy terms and conditions.
