For years, States Recovery Systems has been reporting erroneously on my CR (credit report).  I had no idea on how to fight this INjustice.  I have found a way.

Initially, I submitted a Pay for Delete Letter to settle out the account because I knew that I did not owe ANYONE the amount that was stated on my CR.  Their response was what they categorized as an attempt to validate the debt and sent me my original contract from the creditor.

This turned out to be a blessing.  Why?  Because it provided me with the tools to thoroughly review the documents and I found several gross errors.  I found incorrect ledger balance entries and proof that States Recovery Systems has been reporting erroneously on my CR for years.

I wrote the company back and informed them of their errors and provided great detail.  Two months passed with absolutely NO response from this company.  Finally, I took the case to outside agencies such as: Office of Commissioner of Financial Regulation (for my state) and the Better Business Bureau (for that region).

The result has been that States Recovery Systems is finally responding and no longer ignoring.  They are still not admitting their errors and have not submitted an apology at all.  In fact, I found the letter rather haughty and their so called "updating" to the CR is not satisfactory and I will address that in a forthcoming seperate letter.

My point is, States Recovery Systems has made no resolve on their own to correct erroneous information reporting UNTIL outside agencies became involved.  Their response was to ignore the consumer and to not correct their errors once brought to their attention.  In my opinion, this is unacceptable and is insulting to cosumers (such as myself).  They do not expect for people to know their rights or to confront them with their mistakes, and to demand a correction of the INjustice.

There is also the option of suing any company that contnues to report incorrectly after being notified of their error.  This information can be found on the internet and gives reference to the cases that cite this if a consumer chooses to pursue this route.

I am still not satisfied with the outcome of States Recovery Systems, and will continue to pursue not partial but COMPLETE justice.

If others are out there who have complaints on this company, it only takes a minumum of three (3) people to file and pursue a Class Action Lawsuit.  I will keep you updated as to whether States Recovery Systems steps up to the plate and assumes responsibility for their errors and does the right thing to fully CORRECT them.
