Statewide Wrecker Service is contracted by Gwinnett County. As well as the city of Lilburn and the city of Snellville.
Hardly any of the trucks driven on the streets are legal, DOT checks are hardly ever performed on the trucks, and most drivers are without medical cards and/or top light permits.
One of the driver's parents happens to be a DOT officer for Gwinnett County. And there have been numerous occasions in which this driver should have been terminated, due to calling out and being late for work, but they keep him on as staff because it assures that they will get away with putting these trucks on the streets, as unsafe as they are.
Not to mention, some trucks are riding around with improper tags and insurance.
There are also multiple calls daily on how dangerously the drivers are riding around, cutting off people with children in the vehicles and disreguarding traffic signals, signs, and speed limits.
Also calls reguarding how uncivilized the drivers, dispatchers, and call takers are with customers.
Gwinnett County, Snellville, and Lilburn also require that the drivers have no felony background and are to be sober, if they run calls for them. I can assure you that multiple driver's impounding vehicles for this county and these cities have criminal backgrounds and/or are under the influence of one and/or several substances.
And with as many people who failed the most recent random drug test, it is rumored that Statewide paid for their drug-free certificate from The State Board of Workers' Compensation through the insurance company that went out out and tested them. And anyone who works for Statewide laughs when it is brought up.
May it also be made aware that no driver keeps a log book. And no driver clocks in or out. Which, if I am correct, makes any haul over 100 miles illegal. But what makes it worse, is that the drivers are just doing their jobs, trying to make money, but the person who runs the company... who is well aware of the rules, fails to inform his employees of such requirements.
It makes you wonder what other things Chad is aware of... but fails to inform his staff of.

Four trucks in the same spot and every one of them doing something wrong? Highly unlikely. Four different trucks doing something wrong out an average of 30 on the road at any given time? Very possible. On the same road? at the same time? ALL speeding on Pleasant hill rd? Through the traffic and everything? Highly unlikely. Not that it's any of your concern but the repo company was sold to the people that hired you to work for them after I sold it to them and advised them not to hire you. Chris and Lori. I guess you forgot. And as far as struggling with other ventures you may be correct. However, I have learned one thing over the years sir. You are only as good as the people you hire and that is most of the battle in the business world today. And you are correct! What goes around comes around and I'm glad you realize that. The funny thing about this rip off report is that the people reading it only get to hear the side of your story you wish to share.

very interesting responce, but makes no sense. anyway not a personal knock on anyone Chad so its not necessary back. And YES i could run a business alot better than you can. The one repo co i did run did not close its doors What happened to yours? As well as all your personl ventures that have failed. Back to the subject of the article. I was driving down Pleasent hill rd the other day and saw 4 of your trucks going down the rd and every one of them was speeding, texting,no turn signals, improper lane changes, and even one using his top lights to make an illegal u-turn cuting off traffic to get turned around then turning off his light. on his way to a call i am sure. I know you can not see every infraction that your drivers make but you should be made aware and maybe have one of your spontanious raging meetings to belittle and cuss at your drivers and threaten their jobs. But you run it as you see fit i could really care less i have moved on and if there are indeed people calling for me about a job i am in no need of one. In closing best of luck to you and remember "what goes around comes around"

If this company was so bad to work for you would not be e-mailing and having other emailing and having people call in your behalf to try and get you re-hired for a third time. I would suggest before you criticize the landscaping that you be sure your own grass is cut first neighbor. It seems that everywhere you have worked there has been some sort of problem with the way they run their business. I would be willing to bet that all of your previous employers (the 5 or 6 that I know anyway) would encourage to to start your own towing company or repo company and run it your way so you can show us all how it is done. I'm sorry that you have a problem with some of us who are consistent and stay at one job for years and manage to make a good life for ourselves. Also, if all the employees were honest and did their job we would not need cameras everywhere and none of them would have been arrested for stealing things from cars because we would have no incriminating video footage. So, in closing I must wish you the best of luck with your "I'm a victim" campaign. I think if you spent more time concentrating on what YOU were doing rather than what all of your former employers were doing you would find yourself much further ahead in life. Good Luck.

OK SO I HEARD ABOUT THIS SITE AND INDEED THIS REPORT ABOUT STATEWIDE AND I WAS ACCUSED OF WRITING THE ORIGIONAL POST. PROBABLY WHY I LOST MY JOB? AT THE TIME THIS WAS WRITTEN I WAS STILL A DISPATCHER WORKING FOR THE COMPANY SO THE DISGRUNTAL EMPLOYEE DEAL DOES NOT WORK FOR ME. OK SO SOME OF THE COMMENTS MADE IN THE ORIGIONAL POST ARE TRUE ACTUALLY VERY TRUE, BUT WITH THE TURN AROUND AND DISRESPECT THAT THE MANAGMENT HAS FOR THERE EMPLOYEES I CAN SEE WHY AND WHY IT WOULD HAVE TO HIRE QUESTIONABLE PEOPLE TO RUN THIER TRUCKS. ON THE POSITIVE SIDE IT IS A VERY WELL RUN COMPANY AND DOES FUNCTION WELL. WELL THAT IS WITH ALL THE MICRO MANAGING THAT GOES ON THERE ITS LIKE A PRISON WORKING THERE CAMERAS EVERY WHERE AND CALLS FROM PEOPLE WHEN THEY QUESTION WHAT YOU ARE DOING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT WHEN THEY ARE LAYING IN THERE BED WATCHING THE CAMERAS FROM THERE HOME. AND I DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THE ORIGONAL POST SAID ANYTHING ABOUT THE PRICES SO THE LAST RESPONDER DID NOT THOURLY READ IT. EVERY COMPANY HAS ITS ISSUES AND FOR THE MANAGER CHAD TO SAY THAT IT IS ALL OK ITS NOT BUT WHAT COMPANY IS. BUT YET HE SURE IS REAPING THE BENEFITS OF HIS POSITION. NICE CARS, LOTS OF VACATIONS, MOTORCYCLES AND ABILITY TO BUY CARS FROM THE AUCTION AND TURN THEM AROUND AND MAKE MORE MONEY AS IF HIS AND HIS WIFES SALARY IS NOT ENOUGH FOR THEM AND THERE NEW CARS AND HALF A MILLION DOLLAR HOUSE. AND ALWAYS TRYING TO SET UP HIS EMPLOYES THINKING THEY ARE STEALING FROM CARS WHEN ITS ALL INTERNAL AND HIS MANAGER AT HIS OTHER LOT IS BANKING FROM IT AS WELL. YET REALLY QUICK TO CHARGE DRIVERS FOR MINOR DAMAGE CLAIMS HECK SOME OF THESE DRIVERS WORK 72 + HOURS A WEEK JUST TO TRY AND BRING HOME A DECENT CHECK TO SUPPORT THERE FAMILIES AND STILL WORING WETHER NOT THEY WILL STILL HAVE A JOB NEXT WEEK OR NOT. NO THERE ARE NOT GOOD THINGS HAPPENING THERE BUT THATS WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE OWNER HAS LITTLE TO DO WITH HIS OWN COMPANY AND HIRED A POWER HUNGRY PERSON TO RUN IT FOR HIM WHO'S TOWING SKILLS ARE NOT THAT GOOD EITHER. I HAVE SEEN IT IN PERSON WAS NOT IMPRESSED. ANYWAY THIS IS ALL FALLING ON DEAF EARS ANYWAY AND I REALLY DO NOT CARE BECAUSE NOTHING WILL CHANGE. OBVIOUSLY THERE HAVE NOT BEEN ENOUGH COMPLAINTS TO THE COUNTY ABOUT THERE DRIVERS TO RAISE ANY RED FLAGS SO THEY WILL STAY ON TOP BUT EVENTUALLY ALL WRONG DOING WILL CATCH UP WITH THEM SO I WISH THEM THE BEST AND HOPE THEY STRAIGHTEN UP THERE ACT.

STATEWIDE WRECKER IS A LEGITAMATE PROFESSIONAL WRECKER SERVICE

AS A FORMER EMPLOYEE OF STATEWIDE WRECKER, I SAW THE DAY TO DAY INNER WORKINGS OF THIER WRECKER SERVICE. NOT ONLY IS IT REPUTABLE, I HAVE OPENED MY OWN WRECKER SERVICE, USING MANY OF THE BUSINESS MODELS THAT STATEWIDE EMPLOYS. I WAS THIER MECHANIC FOR 2 YEARS, THEY MAINTAIN THIER TRUCKS TO WELL ABOVE DOT STANDARDS. AS WITH ALL WERCKER SERVICES, THE OFFICE PERSONAL HAVE TO ENDURE ,MANY CUSTOMERS WITH BAD ATTATUDES, BUT REMEMBER, ITS NOT THE WRECKER SERVICES FAULT YOU CAR WAS IMPOUNDED. IF YOU ARE CIVIL THEY WILL BE AS WELL. CHARGES ARE REGUALTED BY THE MUNICIPALITIES. IF YOU THINK THEY CHARGE TOO MUCH, TALK TO YOUR CITY, OR COUNTY OFFICIALS. BUT REMEBER.. THIER TRUCKS COST AS MUCH AS FIRE TRUCKS, THEY PAY TONS OF INSURANCE, THEY HAVE TO PAY DRIVERS TO BE READY 24HOURS A DAY, SO WHEN YOU THE CONSUMER NEEDS THIER SERVICES THEY WILL BE THERE, THIS KIND OF SERVICE DOESNT COME WITHOUT A COST. AS TO DRUGS, I PERSONALY WITNESSED MANY RANDOM DRUG TESTS, SO IM SURE THIER STANDARDS DO COMPLY WITH REGULATIONS. JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT... MAYBE YOU SHOULD INVEST 500.000.00 INTO A TOWING COMPANY, AND SEE IF YOU CAN IMPOUND CARS FOR 20.00

I do have to agree with what was said about Statewide's drivers being careless on the road
AUTHOR: Monkey_matt - (U.S.A.)

Chad, I read what this person wrote about Statewide wrecker service, and I have had some very good experiences as a customer using your company as a wrecker service. However, I have to agree with what the author has said about Statewide wrecker's drivers being careless on the road.
I have seen on several occasions in different areas of Gwinnett County and Fulton County Georgia seen Statewide drivers driving at unsafe speeds on roads that have posted speed limits of 45MPH along with excessive lane changes with out using turn signals. On one occasion I was at a traffic control device (Traffic Light) where it was posted "No Turn on Red" and witnessed a Statewide driver violate what was posted on the sign and turned right on red.
I have also had passenger with me on one occasion witness how careless your drivers are on the road (the incident where I saw the driver violate the "No Turn On Red" sign he was in tow with a customers car on his flatbed and changed lanes several times at excessive speeds on a road which had the posted speed limit of 40MPH).
In your company's best interests you make your drivers aware that they cannot drive recklessly on the roads. Your company is not the only wrecker company that is guilty of driving excessively on the roads your main competitor Lance Wrecker is very guilty of the same thing as well.
As a driver, driving around weather it be comminuting to or from work or just running around doing errands don't have to tolerate or accept the reckless driving styles that I have seen come from your wrecker drivers.
Is it going to take an accident that involves one of your wrecker drivers where someone is killed for you to address the state of how your drivers drive on the road? I hope it doesn't have to come down to that, as a person who has used your companies services before and being very happy with the service that you have to offer doesn't want to see you go out of business due to an accident where on of your drivers was driving recklessly.

Thank you for your of course "anonymous" input.

This sounds like the opinion of a disgruntled former employee who of course wishes to remain "anonymous" for the simple reason that they could face legal action for such slander. In the event that anyone would like to come and inspect the practices and procedures of Statewide Wrecker Service they are welcome to do this at a moments notice. You will find that each and every truck has all the proper registration, tag, decals, permits, insurance, inspection log books, driver log books, and any other items required by local and state regulations. All of the drivers have medical cards, valid licenses, and any other credential required by local & state regulations as well as background checks on file. I am not quite sure why this "anonymous" indivudual would be posting this but I can think of a few reasons. In any event, I wish this "anonymous" individual the best of luck with their anti-Statewide campaign and if anyone concerned with the practices and procedures of Statewide Wrecker Service please contact our office for a tour of the inner workings of how a wrecker service should be run and I think you will find this "anonymous" individual is remaining "anonymous" because he/she does not want to leave a signature on such a slanderous statement. When you say things like this you need to realize that you are not only accusing this wrecker company of wrongdoings, but you are also accusing several law enforcement agencies, a particular officer , and a very large insurance company of very serious wrongdoings. I encourage you to come forward and stop being "anonymous" and let's open an investigation to see if your accusations stand true, and find out what penalties you may suffer for such behavior. I will be awaiting your reply. Chad
