salespeople repeated called me/finally agreed to a meeting at my home w/ salesman. Repeatadly said "no" to salesman. He used MY phone to call his boss (long distance) to tell him I wouldn"t buy.

After (2) calls, he decided to leave. On the way out, at the door, he turned to me and offered me a great deal, I agreed. I paid $495 for a deposit on the building. I then paid for it in full and was going to schedule delivery. I then found out there is a City ordinance prohibiting me from erecting the building. I contacted steelmaster several times keeping them apprised of the situation.

Jim Pankowitz, THE MAN at steelmaster said I would get a refund minus the $495 deposit, but could apply that toward another purchase. I agreed, and recieved my refund, minus $495. When I worked with another salesperson for another purchase, Jim P. stopped the deal cold, saying the account has been closed. Only days before he said the $495 was good for another purchase. Mr. Pankowitz is a liar. They made $495 off me for NOTHING.

BUYER BEWARE

AUTHOR: unhappy camper - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, March 26, 2014

!!!BUYER BEWARE!!!

These are quonset style buildings. Many counties across the U.S., and most home owner's associations will not allow you to erect this type of building on your property.

Be VERY certain that you will be allowed to erect one of these buildings BEFORE giving this company any money or signing their contract because they will not give you a dime of it back.

Since losing nearly $3,500 of my money this way, I've read other reviews online from others who have also lost money.

Yes. I signed a contract that said that the downpayment was not refundable. I am at fault for my own stupid decision.

Just don't let yourself be pressured into signing a contract to "lock in your price" before you have authorization in hand to erect the building, because this company will afford you no sympathy and will cut you no slack.
