My Name's Ken *****, and I'm a British citizen resident in Beijing China.

Recently I have had dealings with a company registered in the UK to one Stefano Carboni.

The company registration details are as follows:

eSources.co.uk
27 Old Gloucester Street
London WC1N 3XX
United Kingdom

VAT No: GB 848 2692 86

Telephone: +44 (0)845 226 3707
Web: www.esources.co.uk

I was unable to find a company registration number anywhere on their website.

The Matter

Essentially this will be a very trivial issue for you, I'm sure, and the sum involved is trivial too. However, for me it is a matter of principal.

Basically ESources.Co.Uk are a UK based trade portal, and since I'm working in the area of trade between China and the west I decided I'd give this new portal a go.

However, for some, still as yet, unknown reason I had problems with my own Visa card and used my wife's to purchase my membership of the site in place of my own. That still isn't the issue, however. When the page refreshed and brought me back to the beginning of the PURCHASE SEQUENCE I hadn't noticed that the page had reset my personal choice of SELLER account back to the default of BUYER. Therefore, it wasn't until the transaction had completed that I discovered I'd just bought a BUYER membership.

Upon this realisation I then commenced the purchase sequence again, this time, however, ensuring that I had re-chosen the SELLER account option.

When once the transaction was completed I then wrote immediately to the customer services of ESources.Co.Uk explaining the error and requesting and requiring ESources.Co.Uk revert my funds to me for the BUYER account, which I had mistakenly purchased.

Since that time ESources.Co.Uk has done everything it can to either ignore or refute the necessity of returning those funds to me.

I have tried to self-arbitrate the issue without success.

In their last communication to me they informed me that should I persist in request this reversion of funds they would cancel both my memberships without recourse to a refund in any way shape or form.

Consequently, since both memberships are little more than two or three weeks old I would like to have all my monies reverted to me for both accounts, plus your costs and compensation for the unnecessary trouble and stress ESources.Co.Uk have put me through.

As of April 11th 2009 ESources.Co.Uk have indeed blocked my access to my accounts and their services.

The membership fees are as follows:

BUYER 29.95 GBP Tax Date: 25 March 2009 Invoice/Order No.: 134118
SELLER 150 GBP Tax Date: 25 March 2009 Invoice/Order No.: 134119

I have since registered reports with the following:

Office of Fair Trade

http://www.oft.gov.uk/

Camden Council Trading Standards

http://www.camden.gov.uk/ccm/navigation/business/business-regulations/trading-standards/

The Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR) which used to be the Department for Trade and Industry

http://www.berr.gov.uk/whatwedo/businesslaw/index.html

Thank you for your time in this matter.

Yours faithfully,

Mr. David Kenneth ****

Yourchinatradingpartner.com Continues its Publication of False Reports About eSources in an Attempt to Gain Traffic to its Low Traffic Site.

AUTHOR: eSources.co.uk - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, August 24, 2009

David it is obvious that those fake emails are from scammers impersonating eSources. It's like saying PayPal and eBay send out emails to their customers to gain access to their account.

eSources is today probably the largest directory of verified wholesale and dropship contacts on the web (45,000 and counting!). We have a premium members subscription base of over 148,000 and total current members over 520,000. These numbers are striking to even the kindest competitor, therefore don't be surprised if some of the online reports were published just to undervalue our image. Of course some reports about customers issues may be genuine, however I can assure you we do take on board every issue, we offer 24/7 email support (we don't currently offer phone support), and we do try to resolve matters as quickly as possible. We have been in business for over 5 years now and certainly that list you have published refers to complaints over the 5 years period, which we think it's quite good given the number of customers we have helped over the years (again over 148,000 and counting).

It is clear by now that you are here trying to get some free publicity for your site, and I am sure you have already received a fair bit. The reasons people run those scam searches are two:

1. It is broadly recommended in our industry to search a company name + scam to check any complaints posted on the net about that company. Many buyers do this with every company before dealing with them, and you should be doing the same if you aren't doing so yet.

2. Specifically to eSources, some of those searches are run because of this false report you have posted and because of the false information you have published on your blog.

I presume the traffic percentages you posted above are based on your total site traffic (5%, 1% etc), they are high because your site's total traffic is very low and you are trying to gather traffic by falsly bashing other companies: safelysourcingchina is Alexa site number 4,769,344 (very low) and your average site visitor stays on your site for 0.6 minutes (that's just 36 seconds), then leaves. This indicates that visitors aren't that impressed with what you have published and then leave (please note this is not my opinion, it's a conclusion based on the data supplied by Alexa). Based on the percentages you have posted, your false reports about eSources are bringing you substantial traffic.

In contrast eSources is site number 21,910 in the world and our visitors stay on our site for an average of 4 minutes. That includes buyers who come to eSources to quickly source an item and then continue dealing with the wholesaler or dropshipper directly.

Our take is that you offer a sourcing service and you find eSources a strong competitor and therefore worth appearing in our discussion threads to increase traffic to your site. We are of course flattered by your considerations but are certain that your approach is counter productive. Also we feel that your approach is an indication of your business ethics, and for this reason and in our opinion only we would discourage buyers from initiating trade with you. This is only our opinion, albeit based on years of experience.

eSources Innitiate Smear Campaign Against YCTP

AUTHOR: Yctp - (China, People's Republic of)

POSTED: Sunday, August 23, 2009

eSources.co.uk Attempting To Smear Your China Trading Partner .
It has recently come to my attention that eSources.co.uk, owned by the now infamous ( to many of us unfortunate enough to have had any dealings with the company or the individual )
Mr. Stefano Carboni , have now attempted to smear Your China Trading Partner ,
quite probably due to our unflinching stance on the the truth of the
issues surrounding him and his company; as well as our unwillingness to
back down in the face of earlier threats for legal action. Many of you
out there have already communicated to me that you have backed down
under these threats, whilst many fora and blogs ( the links to which can still be found, and also there reasons for deletion ) have removed negative comments
regarding eSources.co.uk out of fear of these threats.
It would seem that since these threats
have failed, as I have enough documentary evidence to take to any court
should I be called to do so, which demonstrates the voracity of my
claims, and is supported by many others out there who have lost money
to eSources, that Mr. Carboni has now, as of the 19th August 2009,
decided to attempt to attack my credibility by making false statements
and slanderous remarks on sites such as the RipoffReport , and which you can view by clicking the link.
In which short statement, and without any corroboratory evidence whatsoever, Mr. Carboni states that I have, committed numerous contract infringements and failed to cover his payments None of which, strangely enough, he has ever presented to me either by email, or by telephone.
And all of which I have documentary
evidence for, including the fact that my bank is currently getting a
reversion of funds back from his for taking money from my account when
clearly not entitled to do so. I refer you to earlier articles on this
site, and which youll find in the Scams and Scammers category.
Mr. Carboni goes on to say, We
believe his behaviour is an indication of the values this person adobts
in his business dealings and invite potential customers to evaluate
this persons full business practices before considering trading with
him , which sounds more of an indictment upon himself, rather than upon me or my company.
I too invite you all to make the following searches of Google for my company name and my personal name: your china trading partner scam and yourchinatradingpartner.com scam and finally david kenneth stone scam .
From such a simple search you discover
nothing negative about either myself or my company; and the only connection with the word scam is prefixed with " ANTI ". Indeed, I find it most
interesting that Mr. Carboni also cites our full company address,
albeit with a couple of minor errors, as: ChangPing Qu, HuiLongGuan, LongTengYuan 3Qu, 2HaoLou, 2DanYuan, 201
Beijing
to which you are more than welcome to pay a visit, or have someone
you know, or an embassy official here, make a call to determine a
suitable time to come and pay me a visit; whilst, on the other hand,
Mr. Carboni uses the address of: 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3XX, United Kingdom , and which is a mere postal address, and little more than a PO BOX , as his companys formal HQ address.
In fact, however, should you run a Google search on 27 Old Gloucester Street, London WC1N 3XX , you will discover that you get 64 pages, and a grand total of 16,200 hits for that address ,
all with a wide diversity of companies claiming it as their UK
registered office; companies as diverse as cleaners to clairvoyants.
Strange that Mr. Carboni has no wish to have made public either his
personal or a genuine office address. Who is hiding what from whom? eSources are notorious for failing to answer emails, complaints, giving spurious reasons for canceling accounts and holding onto your money, and more specifically, apart from have no physical presence, they don't offer any kind of telephone support whatsoever. Yes, they post a number on the website, but once registered you are informed that there is NO TELEPHONE SUPPORT provided. So, nobody to contact should you feel the need to address an issue.
It may interest you to know that the following search strings are regularly used and bring visitors to my blog site ( visitor search percentage included ):
esources scam 5% .
esources stefano carboni scam 3% .
esources co uk scam 3% .
wholesaledeals co uk scam 2% (Another of Mr. Carbonis Companies) .
esources co uk 1% .
wholesaledeals co uk 1% .
stefano carboni  1% .
stefano carboni wholesale 1% .
carboni-company 1% .
what do you think of wholesaledeals co uk 1% .
esources co uk membership 1% .
wholesaledeals uk 1% .
whats wrong with esources 1% .
who is registered on esources co uk 1% .
e sources taking money from my account! 1% .
In fact, I receive more visitors in
search of  his company than for any other individual company via my
website; and, as you can see, more than a few are connected with the
word scam . I encourage readers to carefully
follow the suggested searches above for their own piece-of-mind, and at
the same time I invite anyone who has had troubled dealings with Mr.
Carboni or eSources to send me their detailed information, which I will
file for later use against this company and individual; below is a
special email account where you can send me your details. Thank you for your time, folks!
carbissue@yourchinatradingpartner.com Now, here are a few links which demonstrate the true nature of eSources, and you may find assist you in determining just what the truth of the matter may be:

Retaliatory FALSE report by advertiser who failed to abide by eSources terms of service

AUTHOR: eSources.co.uk - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 19, 2009

QUOTE:

the page had reset my personal choice of SELLER account back to the default of BUYER

REPLY:

Ken our buyer and supplier upgrade pages are two completely separate pages on our site, therefore your statement is intrinsically false and technically impossible. You upgraded to our premium buyer database, which under British law is protected and non refundable once accessed, which you did access, and then followed on to upgrade to premium supplier membership. You then refused to send us the necessary documentation requested to complete verification of your business. In accordance with our terms, which you clearly agreed to before upgrading, any advertiser is required to supply eSources with any documentation we may require to verify legitimacy.

You then proceeded to post on this site an account of events which is totally misrepresenting of your responsibilities as an eSources advertiser and database licensee. Your account was suspended because of your repeated threats, we are still awaiting to receive the documentation that you have to date refused to send.
