I just want to let consumer's know that Credit Counseling will affect your credit in these ways!! In which this company will lie to your face and say the opposite just to get a sale!!!

They will say that it has NO NEGATIVE EFFECT ON YOUR CREDIT!

They are lying: it will effect your credit if you are trying to refinance, or purchase any large items! They mention that most creditors will RE-AGE the accounts back to a current status! Well the truth is most will not! Examples: Personal Loans such as citifinancial WILL NOT RE-AGE THE ACCOUNT TO A CURRENT STATUS !! If there are any consumers who have been with a credit counseling program and have had their payment go up after they made their 1st payment!!! You think wow Im really going to save this much money! Well the fact is your monthly payment is not concrete until the actual proposals go out to your creditors! I had a client that this happened too and I was embarrassed! his payment went up alot, and he had already made his 1st payment! When the propsals came back from his creditors, they REJECTED it saying they wanted a larger min payment! Know one in my office ever mentioned this to me!! the payment in the program was HIGHER than what he was currently doing on his own! I'm sure if he would have know this he would have not joined! My point is that I treat my clients the way I would want to be treated, and that's with the entire truth! This company is in no way or form trying to educate the consumer!
