On April 26 2013, I purchase a laptop fromMr Stephen MaDaio [ sighs n wonders] for 579$. His claim was that this late 09 Macbook was very,very, nice, like new. The price was right for the year Mac, so I purchased it. Mr MaDaio own Comage graghics and this is a laptop that he used for his business I assume. Soon the unit started to freeze but I was able to reboot it so I thought nothing of it. After 6 weeks from purchase the Mac died. Blank screen nothing. I informed the seller and told him I was going to have it checked out. He told me to sell it for parts. Thiis worried me for to sell a 589$ laptop for parts was not what I wanted to hear. About a week later, My tech told me the logic board was junk and it will cost 400$ to fix. When I informed the seller of this and will he give me a partial refund, His response was " SOMETIMES YOU WIN, SOMETIMES YOU LOSE". 6 WEEKS FOR A 579$ LAPTOP IS NOT RIGHT. When he told me he was going to block me from contacting him, he knew this laptop was going bad. I checked out this computer to try to fix it , hopefully for less money, and this caused the 45 day buyer protection policy from Ebay to exspire. Ebay was no help. Thats a fight for another day. If I sold someone something and this happened, I would give some money back to help. Not mister MaDaio. I'm sorry but Mr MaDaio proves to be of low moral character.

Rip off on Ebay ,on my own.

 I filed a report about a 09 Macbook I purchased for 579 $ which died 6 weeks later. There was a battle between me and the seller about help with this unit. The logic board failed and over 300$ to fix. There's been back and forth and mostly nasty. The seller offer was for me to take the Mac to a Apple store near me for 350, they will fix it and he will pay half. Sounds good, right. Well this can not work you see, the seller wants me to take down these postings..Lies he calls them.

There is not one word of lie in any of this.I told him about a week ago that These websites do not allow anything you post to be deleted. Is that why he offered this because it can not be done? I even told him to keep his money knowing if I had to delete, there was no deal.I will fix the logic board myself regret the day I saw the add for this Mac. This whole thing has sucked and I'm out a bunch of money. I hoped there would be something toward the logic board but no. I said no more posting but this is to big a pill to swallow..

Bad day

 I thought maybe mister Madaio and I were going to get along.Mr Madaio sold me a bad computernn I think he believed was good.My tech checked out the bad Mac and found a bad logic board. My tech sent me the report and I forward to Mr MaDaio . Well IT WAS THE WRONG REPORT.My tech sent me the report from another Mac. So now Mr MaDaio thinks THIS WAS A SCAM AND I am stuck with a bad laptop.Oh yeah here comes the threats of lawsuits and restraining orders and all the crap he could muster.My fault, I should have read the report.Can I blame mr Madaio, no.But the facts still remains I am OUT 579 $ MY tech will send me the right report and now what, who knows. I Have found mister MaDaio hard to deal wiith and with reason. This incident .,did not help but threats and I am the one who got screwed here.Mr MaDaio is probably a decent guy. Why did you contact me this time. A mistake was made, so I am suposed to forget my money.Lets hope the legal system works.

bad choice

I have to say that I am sorry about the way I ended my report. This was a bad choice of words. Mr MaDaio looks to be a good family man and a fine person. But being a man of 60years old, I am sure he has seen his share of this world and its people . I was pretty shocked of his refusal to help out. I gave him 579$ for something that lasted less than 2 months when he claimed how good it was. I am sure there is plenty good in him but this is wrong.

You know I have to say that I am sorry for judging a person by the comment that I made at the end of my report. Mr Madaio looks like a good family man and I have to believe that he is a fine person. But being 60 years old I have to think that he has seen enough of the world and people to know right from wrong.6 weeks is to short a time to have a laptop go bad and not offer help with the repairs. The mistake I made was sticking with it instead of reporting when it first started to freeze at 4 weeks.
