Steve Doletsky, Liberty Tax Service Liar, Steals money from employees, poor example of Liberty, Requires managers to work 80 plus hours a week with no extra pay. Saint Petersburg, Florida

I use to work for steve.  Through there tax course i learned a new skills and became a certified tax preparer. Before working for steve i was a telemarketer and a single mother  stuggling to take care of my kids. Living pay check to pay check.Beacuse of steve and the pay at Liberty Tax I was finicial able to take care of my family better than ever!!  Everything I have learned from steve I still use in everyday life. The people commenting these rude comment about him are the one with no customer serivce skills, are not firiendly no offense what kind of compnay wants to employe someone with no customer serivce. I sure in heck wouldnt.

Instead of listen to what people are saying get to know the guy yourself then you can form your own opioion.  Liberty tax has given me endless opportunites to better my self and my family. He is not only was a great boss but truley cares about all his employees and customers.  Unforuntley I had to leave due to my own family issues and moved outta state.  I miss working for steve everyday. When reading these comment I couldnt believe what people where saying it is so untrue its crazy to hear the rude  untrue comments. Again get to know steve then form your own opioin cause i will gaurentee you will  also think he is a great man of his work.

What an ego you show? You are better than this customer and we shall call you King? Is this how this company operates. This is a shameful response to someone who feels they have been wronged. Nobody asked how many are happy with you. Address the person complaining, not the world you want a trophy from. This is very wrong of you to put this person down when she or he is asking for fairness. Instead, you give arrogance and represent this person is unfavorable to anyone who would ever meet and compare the two of you. SHAME ON YOU Douchlety! No resolve here to ask people to post positive comments much later AND tried to bribe the author? With the followup praise responses it is very believable you are the devil.

My name is Courtland and I worked for Mr. Doletzky for only 1 year before he gave me an opportunity to own my own store.  I now own 5 Liberty Tax Services and am top-50 Frachisee in the company due 95% to everything that I learned from Steve in my time with his organization.  He has helped many people in this same way and so have I.  I have have employees that worked for me that now own stores, and I have employees that I released from my organization unhappy and feeling like they should be owning stores.  We obviously don't release employees because they are just too good.  I truly believe Steve gives everyone around him every opportunity to succeed and some take advatage of the opportunity and some just try to take advantage of him.  I've never heard of him not paying bonuses anything but 100% fairly.

When I originally posted this issue, I guess I would have to say that I was upset with Steve and I did actually blow things out of proportion at the time as some of the issues were personal and should have been handled on a personal matter and not on a public forum. My mistake entirely. Sure hope Steve can forgive me for that one.

I have been with Liberty since January 2001 when I worked for Scott. I also worked some for the corporate offices in Virginia Beach, then a short time with Steve and now I work for Carolle Ryan in New Port Richey. I am in my 11th tax season with Liberty.

I would consider myself a "tax junkie" and I actually learned a lot of positive things from Steve which I did bring to my current position with Carolle. I would like to tell anyone reading this post that  Liberty Tax Service is the ONLY tax service to work for and I truly believe in John Hewitt's mission to be the "number one" tax service by the year 2020. I plan on staying around until then to join in on the festivities.

If you want to have fun while working....seek out Liberty Tax....actually seek out Carolle Ryan...she is a great to work for. And to this day, I am still using many of the positive tools that I learned while I worked with Steve.

I have worked with Steve for 5 years. I love my job! We hire 100's of people each year. Yes at 8 dollars an hour. We have a commission structure that allows you to make 15-20 an hour. We are professional, friendly, and fun tax office. Our numbers show that over and over each year. Our clients become our friends, employees and family.Our employees become owners themselves.  We will continue to grow and work hard each year. We will also continue to hire many people out of communities each year.

In regard to the posting about Liberty Tax Service in Saint Petersburg's tax school and over charging fees. Had the person been clearly informed about tax preparation and other pertinent facts they would have known the following. HR Block and most other tax prep companies charge between $150 and $249 just to go to tax school.

The comment that the base pay should be between $12.00 and $18.00 an hour is an out right error.The person making the report also said that the tax fees should not be over $150.00 and he was overcharging at $250.00 to  $350.00.

Had the person maikng the report been better informed or more honest they would have known their facts to be in error.Typically HR Block charges at least 20 % more and the return is not even automatically guranteed against errors. Liberty stand behind there returns and will pay penalties and interest if it was there fault, at no extra cost.

So this person wants to be a first year tax preparer and make 12.00 an hour to start is absolutley unrealistic.

I took tax school to come work for this man . I paid 50 buck for a book that was nothing more than the book copied and combined in a 3 ring binder. The class was a joke the building didnt even have a working bathroom. Then was told (to keep me interested) the rate of pay was 10 dollars an hr with easy to reach commissions and bonuses. Once I took the school and all there other training seminars, thinking I was making progress I only had to get my tax license from the IRS. Basically in the end it was 2 months of unpaid training we finally went over our pay which was 8.00 an hr and there commissions are impossible to meet. So basically u r working for 8 bucks an hr which is TERRIBLE considering the going rate is 12 to 18 bucks an hr. This guy is a rip off artist! Dont take his crappy tax school its a joke n so is Liberty. The cost to do ur taxes there is 300 to 400 dollars which should be around 150. He gets rich by raping the poor and under pays his staff!

I did contact Mr. Doletzky on an issue in regards to the Hudson office and this report was brought up and he asked me to post a comment on this site about this issue and he stated to me that if I did post a positive comment that he would consider paying me a severance pay. Well, I did inform him that if he paid me the bonus which I earned while employed by him which I still have a printoff of and which he stated to me on March 18th that he would pay me, then I will have NO problem putting a positive comment on this site as then he will have proved to me and others that he is a "man of his word."
