I had fallen and hit my mouth breaking my 6 piece upper bridge so I went to this dentist off of my insurance list. I was expecting a consultation where he would go over everything in detail but that never happened. He never seemed to discuss with me what he would be doing or ask me my preferences so I would take in pictures of teeth and I explained what issues I had with the prior bridges I have had. He never really acknowledged what I had to say but I thought that he probably was listening and would take all in to account. He required a large amount down so I couldn't just switch dentists.
The day I went in to put the new bridge it was exactly what I asked him not to do ( I didn't want straight across teeth or pointed canines) they were short teeth that ran straight across with pointy canines! I told him I was unhappy and didn't want that and he just got really rude and pushy and told me he couldn't make them longer or how I wanted because they would break and proceeded to cement them in! I feel like he just bullied me and when I complained again about the pointed canines he just said really mean that he can take care of that and he just ground them down really quick. I didn't know what to do so I just wore them for months trying to get used to them but I noticed my upper lip hung further down and it looked like I had no teeth! I complained again when I went in for my cleaning( I took my daughter hoping that he wouldn't be rude and blow me off) he said he would send me to his lab that he uses to see if they can fix them.
I went the same day and met with Tom and he said he could see what I was talking about and that he would remake them so I said I would contact Dr. Berklacy. I called for over 6 weeks and he would never return my calls so I made an appointment. When I went in ( my son went with me) he was very rude and dismissed me and told me he was not fixing them! My son spoke up and Dr. Berklacy pointed his finger at him and sushed him! (He's 30 years old) I was so shocked and feel that he just bullied me through this whole ordeal! I paid almost $7000 I had to borrow, set up a go fund me account and scrape to get this money. Now I have a bridge that does not fit correctly and he won't fix it! I can't believe I have had to go through this when it would have been so easy to make me happy and put an actual smile on my face. I'm devastated and don't really smile because I'm embarrassed. I not only wasted a lot of money but now I am left feeling self-conscious of the way I look. I have never been treated so bad professionally or personally! I noticed I am not the only patient that feels this way after looking at his reviews. I don't understand why it wasn't done correctly in the first place but even after I spoke up and the lab was willing to remake them I just don't understand why he wasn't willing to replace them. He just had to take these off and replace with the acceptable ones and I would have been happy.
