He will talk a big game and tell you he will help you. Then, when your tenant walks in he will conspire with the tenat to try to rack up your legal bills by encouraging you to drag on the case.

"When I called to speak to the lawyer he was a total a*s hole on the phone even though I was paying him. He did not show up to court on my court date either. My calls were never returned on time and he lost all if my court paperwork as well. If you want a HORRIBLE A*HOLE lawyer and want to get ripped off by their I don't give a f* attitude by all means call. This has been the worst lawyer experience in my life. I wouldn't recommend this lawyer to anyone!!!!!"

"Hired him for an eviction. Poor customer service from office staff. Treated my credit card like an ATM and had to call at least 6 times to get an invoice. Like the previous reviewer said, acted like he could handle the case with ease, and even mocked the defendant for using a paralegal; but that paralegal dragged the case out 10+ weeks. Prefered to comment about the defendants' chest as small talk instead of merits of the case."
These are just 3 short examples. If you google Steven Silverstein's name and business you will see TONS of other complaints.
I am not a landlord. I am a tenant. I went into Mr Silverstein's office to try to resolve something. Mr Silverstein was more interested in running up his client's (my landlord's fees). When I showed him proof of a faulty 3 day notice he almost begged me to file a demurrer so he could "get more fees from his client". His words exactly.
Landlords...be warned. When you hire an attorney, you want someone who will actually get your tenant to pay. Not antagonize them and run up his atm...err your credit card bill.

This attorney is what gives attorney's a bad name. He is clueless, therefore he has to resort to intimidation and bullying. This man threatened me in the courthouse, telling me that I have to get out of the house, because he knows where I work.
He relies on these tactics, instead of looking up case law and knowing how to defend his client. He will lie and argue with the judge. He has no shame. I would be so embarassed to have someone like that represent me. Because of his huge ego, he lost the case for the landlord he was representing.
He's a cold, heartless narcisistic b*****d!!!!! He's brutally ignorant!!!! He should be locked up!!!!!! The Property Management company/owner deserves to lose!
All they had to do is the right thing......correct the code violations and abide by the lease agreement - It would have been so less expensive for the landlord to maintain the premesis, instead of making the tenants suffer with no heat - no air - rat infestation, health violations, mold, etc. Their poor judgment Is of course the result of hiring a lawfirm that is crooked!!!! They deserve eachother.
He could not even collect a dime from the tenants - $10,000 nor was he able to have his attorney's fees paid. Ignorance is bliss!!!!! Stupid LITTLE excuse of a man!!!!! He's ugly inside and out!

Mr. silverstein has been my eviction attorny for almost 30 years and is held in high regard by the courts and other attorneys. Obviously the author was the subject of an eviction by Mr. Silverstein and based on his comments, I can understand why he was evicted.
