Beware This Attorney is horrific he talks arrogantly and aggressive and will make promises knowing he will not keep just to receive your retainer fee he charges.  I regretfully hired him in September 2014 he never kept me informed of my case status.  He filed my Petition in mid October 2014 without notifying me.  I learned of the filing in mid November by checking the docket online.  As we all are aware the phone calls to these people can become very expensive to find out anything.  

After, contacting him in November as to the filing date he stated " we need to have better communication"  I Had to complete my own out of state service to the other party on my dime as he stated "if my office does this it will be extra It was accepted on December 9th 2014 And No response filed. Now January 2015 Attorney states after I called him " I didn't know this was an ivd-4 case and these cases take time most Attorneys wont take them I Replied you pulled my case up online twice in your office back in September and your telling me this now?  

I then asked "my $2,000 retainer will take me to the end of the court date  Correct?"  His reply " I get paid by the hours I have worked"  I stated "there is no court date yet!"  Reply "as soon as the AG office responds then I will get this in front of the judge"  My reply " so, you will call me to let me know then?" Reply " I'm available 24-7 you can call call anytime".  Conclusion to date I have released him as counsel and requestd a refund of my $2,000 and no court date.

I have made an ethical complaint to Az State Bar and will continue to let people know never to do business with Steven E Suffrin he will tell you what you want to hear, take your money and will pad his "working hours".  He is extremely rude Very unprofissional, he will never contact you and he does not have your best interest. He has been reprimanded by the Az state bar suspended for 30 days on another individuals case ( he railroaded this client) he was on probation for a year for what he did to his former client.  Google his name it's all there I deeply regret that I did not do full research on him before I became another victim of his.  If anyone thinks I will get my retainer back it won't happen and I know this. 

I'm a single mother and that $2,000 was all I had and I have been physically ill since January 9th when not even a default Motion was not filed.  Please don't end up like me because I'm screwed I have nothing to hire someone else.  Do your Research before you hire these Shark Attorneys.  PS I hve yet to receive any bill he never sent me a monthly itemized statement ever bet I will get one now of billed hours of $1,999.99 and I have no court date.
