Sino-American studies program has not met the faculty requirements for renewal of the student exchange program now in effect for several years causing students to have to reapply for new admission in the first quarter 2010.  All the residence faculty advisors have notified the residence hall assistants that they cannot renew the room assignments and the the foreign student on a F1 visa program will have to return at quarter end and reapply for new admission into the ESL foreign language program.

The department head has notified all the affected graduate student on scholarships that the funding will be removed and a reseach fellows will have to provide their owm transportation to their home country. married student and faculty will be the most severly impacted as they have family on visa waiver J4 and will have to look for new employment.

Faculty Graduate Advisors have had no input to stop the program funding loss and loss of many technology and bio tech enviromental management faculty assistants in the program since 2007.  New assignment will be impossible to fill on short notice scheduling.

I met steven sears when I attended the library research program, and I found him to be a man of great integrity and well liked by the faculty, staff and students.  Whenever I needed help with a reseach topic he was there.  Very kind and considerate.
