I work as a buyer for a IT company to purchase equipment Internationally. I was approached via email from a Steven Wilson from Electronics and Technology International Limited. He had a list of HP products with very good pricing that I wanted to order. We wanted to make a test order so I was to order a Proliant DL380 server from a Mr Steve Wilson from the UK. He wanted us to send a wire transfer directly to his bank, we did not want to do that so we agreed that we would send a western union wire transfer with an undisclosed name, and after we received the product we would change the name on the wire transfer to Steve Wilson so he could go and pick it up. We sent the wire transfer via Western Union for $850 and gave him the MCTN but not the name of the receiver as we were told by Western Union that he would need full Identification to pick up the money. The fallowing morning I found out that the money was picked up. This person(Steve Wilson) must have a contact with in Western Union to get access to information, thus he was able to pick the money with either no ID or he created a fake id; with out shipping the product. I contacted Mr Wilson (if that is even his name) and he claimed that he did not recieve the money and someone must have intercepted it(not likley). He said that he was not going to ship the product, he then admitted fault and said that if I sent him another $500 he would ship the product. I have noticed that he was many ads online, if you google his phone # you can see. It seems that this guy lists many 'hot' items, like PS3, Nintendo Wii, Apple iPhone, basically anything that people purchase all the time. He offers great pricing then will never send the product.
