STEVENS WORLDWIDE VAN LINES Moving company from Hell!! Worst service ever and liars as well!! SAGINAW, Michigan

I hired these people through their agent who promised a smooth move from Illinois to Washington state.  My things were picked up on 6/27 and had to be stored in a warehouse as they had no large truck going my way until after the 4th of July. Ok, so on July 5th, I called, was told that it would ship that day or the next. On Friday 7/8, I called again and was told, Oh, no driver available until Tuesday 7/12. They had even reassigned my order twice to different drivers. My things arrived on 7/17 and were smashed into the back of the truck. When the doors opened I could see my boxes thrown everywhich way. Every box marked FRAGILE was crushed or severely dented. No apologies from either the driver or helpers. They simply put boxes on top of boxes already crushed.
We sent in a damage report as several items had been broken.

Stevens responded that they were not liable for any of the breakage, because "The was packed by the owner. The carrier cannot be held liable for any items that have been packed by someone other than the carrier". Based on the photos you provided, the cartons were damaged because they were not packed correctly and not as a result of mishandling."

Worst moving company I have ever used. Do not use them for anything. They cannot be trusted!!!!
