Stoneridge Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Stoneridge Jeep;Stoneridge Chrysler Issued me defective brand new vehicle - 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee with less than 500 miles on it Pleasanton California

On 7/1/2016, I received delivery of my brand new 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee.  When I arrived to the dealer, they said they had to switch VIN numbers and I had to resign all of my loan documents since my vehicle I originally wanted was not available but had the same features, so I did so.  The sales person said the vehicle had just arrived and did not have time to inspect the vehicle, only give it gas and a quick wash.  When I got it home that night, I noticed a small oil leak but did not think much since it was a brand new vehicle.  The leak became much worse by 7/3/2016 and I made a service appt online.  On 7/5/16, the service manager said they never seen anything like this before, have to take the entire transmission out and replace "several parts" and it will be 3 days to repair.  They gave me a run down horrible vehicle from enterprise to use in the meantime.  I asked for a replacement vehicle since this was clearly known and going to be a lemon, but they said since the warranty covers everything, that is all they can do.  I am positive they knew about the leak, still signed off on the vehicle to me, and is the reason why they switched vin's at the last second.
