PURCHASED FLD120 FROM A USED TRUCK DEALER. TRUCK PULLED TO THE RIGHT. BEING A FREIGHTLINER I TOOK IT TO STOOPS FREIGHTLINER OF INDIANAPOLIS LOCATED ON THOMPSON ROAD IN INDIANAPOLIS INDIANA. STOOPS FREIGHTLINER SHOP ESTIMATED REPAIRS
BAD TIE ROD ENDS
BAD SHOCKS
BAD SPRING PIN BUSHINGS
BAD TRACK BARS
BAD DRAG LINK
AND MAYBE SOME MORE ALL IN ALL A-LOT OF PARTS SEEMED TO BE BAD.
AS I HAVE BEEN TURNING WRENCHES ON HEAVY EQUIPMENT THE LAST 8 YRS. THIS SEEMED TO BE A LOT WRONG WITH THE TRUCK. BUT IT IS STOOPS THEY SHOULD KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. AS THE TRUCK JUST PASTED INSPECTION TWO WEEKS B4 WHEN I PURCHASED THE TRUCK I CONTACTED THE SELLING DEALER. HE ADVISED ME TO GO PICK-UP THE TRUCK AND TAKE IT TO HIS SHOP AND HE WANTED ME TO STAND WITH HIS TECH WHILE PARTS DESCRIBED AS BAD WERE INSPECTED. I DID. I COULD NOT BELIEVE WHAT I SAW. NONE OF THE PARTS STOOPS HAD WRITTEN UP AS NEEDING REPLACED WERE BAD. I WAS FLOORED AND COULD ONLY WONDER HOW MANY COMPANYS STOOPS RIPS OFF EVERY DAY.
SAD I CANT TAKE MY FREIGHTLINER TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR FOR FEAR OF BEING RIPPED OFF. TRUCK NEEDS SOME OTHER REPAIRS NOW AND I WILL PROBABLY TRADE FOR ANOTHER MAKE. TOO BAD CAUSE I REALLY LIKE MY TRUCK.

Please contact your attorney general when this happens, it is happening more and more, and other incidents, the more people who call and file complaints, the more they will start investigating these procedures and how to stop them. It is about time owner operators standup - over 13 years, being ripped off has broke us ( i dont mind paying for repairs and off you go making money ) but being broke down, no revenue and whopping unneccessary bill is bad. There are too many horror stories out there, keep reporting these to rip off report, and most importantly your states attorney general. It is against the law but it is one word against the other, but if it is one word against hundreds.....
