After being verbally abused I was forced to quit Storm Force. Now Mark Schwartz is refusing to pay me my last paycheck and expenses I am due. I quit Storm Force on August 6th, after having been severely verbally abused, screamed at and sworn at in a company meeting on August 5th.

On August 9th I asked if he Mark Schwartz had a check for me at the office which would be our regular payday. He said no and that he didn't feel he "owed me anything" although I worked 32 hours for the pay period a gross total of $480.00.

 

In addition I am owed $30.00 for fuel which I reimbursed to George Mountrakis and $10.00 for which I paid to CGI's driver for a "delivery fee". Both of the receipts are in the office for those expenses. The total due me by Storm Force is $520.00

I will attach copies of the text messages that I sent and that were responded to, It is clear that I in fact did quit and have been told that Mark Schwartz is lying to people telling them that he fired me. This is simply not true.

I have additional information regarding his business practices as far as not pulling appropriate permits for work and a variety of other such matters.

That line just gets me, that and the illegal drugs I was taking and never asked about, never fired for, never drug tested...etc.etc..

I must say that I couldn't agree with Mark more when he says to just look at his standing on results and customer service to see who is telling the truth! Only honest thing I think I ever heard him say. Oh yes, his sterling reputation?!?! HAHAHA!!!! Since he stole thousands and thousands of dollars of customers money then claimed bankruptcy and closed down the company!

The main reason I got out of there after only about two weeks is I saw exactly what he was doing, robbing Peter to pay Paul, I've seen people play that shell game before and it NEVER ends well. I wanted NO part of that! In addition to his CONSTANT verbal abuse and utter lack of respect for anything that was done for him or his company.

I only wish I had listened to the girl I replaced who was leaving after only about 6 months when she told me that his verbal abuse and absolute lack of any tact or civility gave her ulcers and caused her hair to start falling out. The General Manager also had quit FOUR TIMES IN SIX MONTHS!!!

First, did nothing?? I worked 90 hours for two weeks straight and also provided him with a report that showed every single keystroke and entry I made while WORKING from home at night, I guess he couldn't understand it, although I explained this report to him twice and let him know it was in military time. When I asked if this was satisfactory for my overtime hours he said yes. Of course, the girl I had replaced had already told me that he would NEVER pay ANY OVERTIME TO ANYONE EVER and owed her THOUSANDS of dollars as well. I don't work for free, don't know any body that does and had no intentions of allowing that right from the start.

One of the reasons I was working 90 hour work weeks was the mess that his books were in. He had told me that my number one priority when I got there was getting his financials together, you see he was leaving his wife of some 30 odd years to be with his girlfriend of 22 years of age. This seemed to be quite a bone of contention with his son who worked at the company as well, who was about 31 at the time. I was also told by the girl I replaced to look out for such items as the twentysomethings credit card bills that would be run through the company books. Even coded to job costs... no, not on my watch. I would never sign my name to something like that.

If he wanted, and as I also explained to him, something like that should be entered against Shareholder Loans, the cost a personal one. Well, he disagreed. He also seemed surprised when initially looking through the Profit and Loss I noticed there was about 14 thousand dollars in Postage.... a very large number for that company and frankly, highly unlikely. He was surprised he didn't catch it, I wasn't. Turned out it was actually COGS to be disbursed against jobs, never was. It had been done about 6 months previous, and that's how it went, incorrect entries, against incorrect jobs, over and over, hence 90 hour work weeks. He had very creative accounting ideas that I was VERY uncomfortable with.

Not being able to perform simple tasks on Quickbooks? Really? I have worked on Quickbooks for over 25 years now and have taken EVERY class on the software, including Report Writer and have even TRAINED several people on it. I have been doing this a LONG time and do it VERY well, the problem was I do my job TOO well and adhere to rules. That was exactly what he did NOT want. Not when trying to hide profits during a very nasty bitter divorce.

I never took company property, why would I? I know the 4 shirts I was given when I was hired were returned when I picked up my final check that I finally got after contacting him half a dozen times with NO RESPONSE, his payroll company and THEN the Florida Department of Labor (who, by the by told me I was probably the FIFTH person he had pulled this on) what, as he said, in his own words "WHAT I WAS OWED"!

Last but not least, my FAVORITE claim of his!!! The one that is gonna get me my trip to dive in Australia!!! I am SO HAPPY he actually put this in writing, my attorney is too! Already says it's a slam dunk and the paperwork is moving!!! I was witnessed taking illegal drugs at work?!?! Fantastic!!! Really!?!?! Talk about LIBEL! WOO h*o!! Seems a little strange to me that if someone was witnessed taking illegal drugs in the workplace wouldn't you FIRE THEM!?!? Or heck, at LEAST make them take a drug test!?!? SOMETHING?!?! But no, this is the first I heard of this and he didn't fire me?? I wonder what it was that I was taking?? I suppose I'll find out when he tells the judge! Looking forward to that! I will make a promise here that I made on the Naples Daily News site when I first saw this just two weeks ago. When I get my judgement, and I will, and it WILL be SIX FIGURES (even after my lawyer takes his cut) I will give SOMETHING to those that he STOLE from. Because although you poor people have no recourse as he is hiding behind his company's bankruptcy (that HE CAUSED) like the stealing, lying, thieving pig he IS. I am suing him PERSONALLY!! I know he has the money and will make it as right as I can for anyone I can! I hear he' slinging houses now here in Naples if anyone wants to track him down at an Open House!!

Amy was a disaster

Amy was the worst hire I ever did. She did nothing, charged me for work she allegedly did at home, and left things in worse shape than before she arrived. She took company property home and never returned it. She claimed knowledge of QuickBooks, but could not perform even basic functions without screwing them up. She was observed using illegal drugs in the office. My company has a sterling reputation, and I will stand on our results and customer service. After consultation with the Florida Dept of Labor, she was paid what she was owed and good riddance!
