WATCH OUT - NOT CREDIT CARD SAFE - Although they sort of provide service and Anthony seems technically savy, somebody will rip you off. I was billed the setup fee twice and Anthony did seem to credit that back, but my credit card info was sent through the email and subsequently the number was stolen. I had to cancel the card and then tried to cancel my service with Straight 2 You Networks. When the card was declined, they insisted on a payment or they would turn it over to collections. When I told them I wanted it canceled, they wanted $100 fees and cancellation on an account that isn't suppose to have a contract (according to their web site), hasn't been used in a month, and was actually setup on Fast Pace Networks. Watch out for both companies (or anyone who sounds like them).

I'm not going to offer to pay anything beyond my original monthly subscription fee

I appreciate Anthony's response and I did in fact pay $54,a $25 setup fee and $29 for residential 128K service (which I could seldom get), as stated in my original email from Fast Pace Networks. There was never a reference to a service agreement in the email or on the web site for Fast Pace Networks, only a bullet item stating "No Contract". I was billed 9 days after the $54 charge for another $29.95 ? and then billed 32 days later for $54.95 to which I protested since the billing should have been for $29.00. All in all, at the point, the billing is close to right.
Although I don't agree with the billing practices, I'll grudgingly agree to pay another $29.00 as a technicality since I didn't ask for my account to be cancelled until I "discovered" the billing notice in an unused email account on Dec 2. Maybe things got screwed up in the transition from "Fast Pace Networks" to "Straight 2 You Networks", but that's not my problem and I'm not going to offer to pay anything beyond my original monthly subscription fee (no credit cards).

your account was charged the setup fee, and the 1st months service

Mr. Proft,
What you have left out was that your account was charged the setup fee, and the 1st months service, as outlined on the website, and I am sure you read the terms of service.
Also, there are cancellations fees involved. Because you cancel your account or you do not agree with the terms of service, it still does not relieve you from paying an outstanding balance.
Also, the 99.90 is not the cancellation fee. The reason for the charges is because your card came back declined in the Month of December, and there is a 49.95 cancellation fee.
