I want to warn consumers who maybe looking for a roofer or home repairs not to use any company that maybe affiliated with David LaSalla. Strategic Contracting Network replaced the roof on my home in December 2010. I checked with the BBB and the company had a B+ rating and I asked a neighbor and he stated that the company did a good job on his roof, so I contracted with Strategic to do the roof on my house. The roofers showed up to do the roof only after Kelvin Moore the salesman found out that both my wife and I worked for the U.S. government and I had to leave for Iraq and wasn't going to leave my wife trying to get it done.

Within a week after my roof was done the problems started. They had the satillite dish reinstalled (which I paid $110 for). It turned out that one of the roofers put the dish back, not the satillite company. The dish fell off the roof and made a large hole in the shingles.  I called Strategic and it took two weeks for them to answer, in the mean time I had the satillite company put in a new dish and paid them for both the new dish and labor. After being threatened with a lawsuit Strategic sent someone to fix the roof.

In September 2011 the roof started to leak into the house and did several thousand dollars of damage to the ceiling and walls. I contacted Mr. Lasalla's phone numbers and they were all disconnected. I sent several emails to the company email and still no answer. I filed a complaint with the BBB and with the federal govenment who than contacted Mr. Lasalla to either do the repairs or face charges.  Mr. Lasalla contacted me and setup a company to do the repairs in October.

In the mean time I had the leak repaired and found out that the section of roof was done incorrectly and had to be redone. It took almost 2 months to get half the repairs done (the repairman didn't showup 5 times to do the repairs because he wasn't getting paid) and I had to leave for the Middle East and couldn't wait any longer. Upon my return at the end of January I find out that part of my roof had come off.

I contacted Mr Lasalla again and he only showed up to do the repair because he has been banned from doing any repairs on Military members, spouses, DOD Employess, and government employees homes here until I remove my complaint.  I'm still waiting for the repairs inside my home. My understanding is he is trying to start a new company in Pueblo, CO under a different company name because of high winds and the number of roofs that have to be replace. I don't want to see this happen to anyone else. Please don't do business with this company.

Watch out, name changes often

AUTHOR: nwforester - (United States of America)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 19, 2012

having shut down their website after getting caught stealing, this company was then setting up shop in Pueblo, Colorado under the name One Source Contracting.   Having once again been busted by the watchful eyes of ripoff-savvy people, they have since changed their name AGAIN to Source One Contracting.  They operate out of Florida, traveling around the country to areas hit by natural disaster to steal money from honest people.  Watch out for these scam artists!  Just google "David Lasalla" and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Several Other Victims

AUTHOR: Melissa - (United States of America)

POSTED: Monday, February 27, 2012

Mr. Lasalla came to Kansas City and set up shop after a hail storm last year.   He took deposits from several people in our neighborhood including myself and husband.  The work was never completed.  They stained our fence, dropped off some roofing supplies and then disappeared.  Seven months later, after multiple emails, threats of law suits and unanswered phone calls we received a letter in the mail indicating that our contract was being cancelled at our request and that of our neighbor (who was also victimized).  Mr. Lasalla also included an invoice inflating the price of the fence, charged us for materials left on our driveway and 20% for work they refused to complete.  They even included an unpaid balance of over $400!!

The man has an extensive history in several states.   He has more docket entries then I can count for law suits in Cuyahoga County, Ohio under several business names.  There are also multiple complaints to the Attorney Generals office in Ohio.  So far I have found the following companies associated to David.

Assured Builders
Crossland Financial
Diamond Financial
Apex Roofers
Expert Renovators

My neighbor has started a facebook page in an attempt to reach out to other victims of Mr. Lasalla and his various companies.  Please feel free to post or contact us... This guy needs to be stopped!!
