I had a debt with Massmutual that was paid up on September 27th, 2006.
The only problem is that Massmutual had placed this debt in a collection agency and once it happens it seems to be almost impossible to communicate with both parts.

I have been sending copies of proof of payment to Stuart Allan & Associates, but everytime I call I have to talk to a diferent person that after a long conversation, assures me my problem will be taken care of.

The last person I spoke to was Josy Cast, on 02/25/2007, to whom I have sent (once more) a fax with all the papers she needed to close the account. She said that after talking to her menager she was going to close the account and send me a confirmation letter.

How surprised I was when I called back and Josy was gone. I spoke to another person that once more asks me to send him all the papers again. What kind of company is that?

The last phone call I received was on May 30th 2007, from a person named Erin, that left a message on my cell saying that my debt had been reported to my credit, and I should call him to take care of it to have it removed.

If this is my obligation to prove I do not own Massmutual anymore, I think I have done my part, and I have proof of it. But it is impossible to be doing the same thing over and over again, and I do not agree to pay money that I do not own.

I would like to ask someone from Allan & Associate to just give Massmutual a simple phone call to update the information. It is a simple thing to do that will save a lot of time for everybody and will not mess with my credit report for no reason.
