In February of 2012 I completed my Masters degree at Argosy University, a requirement of my being able to continue teaching in higher education. In May of 2012 I lost my full-time position of 9 years in higher education, due to my age & race (both of which were impossible to prove). Since that time I have been unable to secure a full-time position (I suspect because of my age). I applied for and was granted forebearence, each month with notification that interest was being added to the original loan. Because of my financial concerns I contacted Student Loan Help Direct from an online website.

They explained their ability to take over my loan from FedLoan to save my credit & prevent future interest charges from taking place. The cost to do so was $600, which I paid online to a woman named Kay. The contact I originally had was Angeli Guardado, who was the manager to whom I expressed my concern when the first representative quit there. My account (#15501) was then given to a woman named Veronica (ronica@selectstudentloan.com). After that time I was unable to see any progress being made with a loan changeover/consolidation. I received no response from the representative; later on I was unable to reach anyone there at all. I have paid $600 for absolutely nothing!
