I guess I'm another victim of their elaborate scam!!! I went to work for Student Relations despite comments I had seen on this site - shame on me!!! I addressed these issues with both my recruiter, Craig Mawson as well as the "brains" of the operation, Lousi Victor. I worked as an independent contractor selling ad spots on the Student Folders and Sports Calendars that they "distrubute" at high schools, colleges, & libraries accross the country. During the 2 1/2 months that I worked for them I expressed issues about distribution quantities and distribtuion points which were inconsistent with what I was trained to tell the merchants who were buying the ads. I always got the brush off and told not to worry about it - just keep selling. They would offer more "bonus money" I guess to further compromise my integrity. I was mysteriously "penalized" $100 for reasons still not known! The money was returned a couple of weeks later with still no explanatiuon as to why it was illegally taken in the 1st place. I decided on 10/28/08 to quit this "job" and sent them a very professional notice to this effect. It is now 12/29/08 and I'm still trying to get the commissions owed to me. Like the other posters here I've gotten an incredible runaround and a series of lies - and yet no $$$$$! I've also spoken with several dissatisfied merchants as well. In my case it's not a lot of money - it's all principle. During my phone conversation today with Mr. Victor today the name calling started - I'm a "Schmuck" for wanting what's owed to me??? As a 30 year professional this the WORST company I've ever encountered. BEWARE EVERYONE - YOU'RE NEXT!!! Legal action is next...

Pathetic attempt from this company

AUTHOR: Georgia - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, December 19, 2012

These guys started calling and harassing me.  Luis Victor even asked me if I was married.  You can't legally ask this in an interview.  He even asked me what kind of car I drive.  I didn't like it from the beginning.  Apparently they did send me a start up pack but it was dropped off at a neighbor's house. But Luis started calling nonstop Saturday, Sunday and then Monday decided to hit *67.  His calls today started at 3 am!!!  He said, "Wakie, wakie...this is your wake up call."  Like some serial killer out of a horror movie.  Over and over and over and over.  Freaked out, I had my husband answer the phone next.  Luis claimed he wanted his money back.  What money?!!?  He said he sent a $500 check in with this start up package.  At the time I didn't have the package.  But we had no clue what he was talking about.  After hours and hours of these prank calls from this man (which I recorded by the way!) I finally let him know he was being recorded and told him to leave us alone and that I reported him to the police, which I did.

I don't who any of these other people are....and I am glad that people are posting about this company.  But this guy Luis said on our last call that his name was Paul...again it is recorded.  These guys need some cell time!!!

ALL LIES FROM MIKE MARTOE AND LOUIS VICTOR

AUTHOR: Brian - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, January 07, 2009

All lies. Why would these posts be here? Because they scammed not only their "distributers" but also the merchants. They are posting all BS and again their BBB rating was an 'F" and they also had a history of reports against them with the Attorney Generals Office. DONT BELIEVE THEIR BS. They used to go under the name Students of America and will probably operate under another name when they wear this one out. They will resort to crank calls and postings involving family members and information which they know NOTHING about and post anyway. IDIOTS. BEWARE they will scam you. I am just trying to warn people not to get involved.

Regarding Bill Douglas, Please Read:

AUTHOR: Student Relations, Inc - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, January 06, 2009

We believe Bill Douglas was influenced by, yet again, Brian Davidson of NJ. He even stated that in his post. Bill worked with our company for a few months, then just stopped working. We never knew if he got another job - if he did, we wish him the best. But, he did fail to follow the policies of his Independent Distributor Agreement. We did work out a suitable arrangement with Mr. Douglas, but as you can see, after we did the right thing for him, he jumped on this site and created an odd, if not bizarre post slandering SRI and some folks who work here. Lesson learned.

Listen folks, you don't stay in business for as long as we have, maintain an exceptional BBB rating and continue to renew over 100,000 business merchants annually by misleading and trying to hurt people.

The folks who post negative comments (some are really OUTRAGEOUS) here know that they can without being edited or held accountable for their words or actions. Therefore, if you are considering joining us, then read this nonsense and decide otherwise (even though we maintain a stellar record with the Better Business Bureau), then maybe you're not for us. We will be happy to address these crazy posts on an individual basis, but will never lend credibility to their content.

Just think, have you ever lost your job or got caught stealing from your company or broke the rules and policies of the organization you work with and got penalized- or even terminated? Have you ever just decided that a job wasn't for you and just disappeared? Without any notice at all? (Is that professional?) Some of you might have. Some of you might have thought you did nothing wrong (denial). That's ok, to. It happens. My question is, how would you expect that company to react? Should they break their own rules and policies in your favor just so you don't post a negative comment on a tabloid website? I should think not.

Well, this forum is the perfect place for disgruntled folks like that to come in and attempt to destroy a company's name and reputation - without consequence. Whether the content is true or not. We've all lost a job before. Ask yourself these questions, a.) would you take the time to come here and post lies and unquantified allegations - just because you're mad? - or would you just move on and seek other employment. b.) ask yourself about some of the outrageous content contained in some of these posts? Does it make any sense? Don't they all sound alike? Maybe too much alike?

As I mentioned earlier and also in one of these posts in this forum, anyone can say ANYTHING about anyone here - unedited and unsubstantiated. Even the Editor of this site - who could not ever be reached by phone - responded when we posted the 'F' rating/s that this very site and its' aliases maintain on the Arizona BBB. Look it up. His response was, "The reason for our negative BBB record is the many lawsuits against us....etc." Is this true? Who knows? He further went on to suggest to us that the only way to make these 'outrageous lies' and 'false allegations' work in our favor was to respond 'positively' to them. Look it up. It's here somewhere. POSITIVELY! Have you read some of this stuff? It's mind-boggling! Lastly, and in a very cavalier tone he mentioned that these comments would become part of our permanent online record and would never ever be removed (it's not their policy). He even dared us to sue him (we did not). We didn't even file a complaint. What would that solve? Ed Madgsen, the Editor of this site seems to be a disgruntled ex-employee or customer himself - and we are sorry for that. Unfortunately, he should have sued the entity that mistreated him. Instead, he created nothing short of an online version of 'The National Enquirer'. This site may help a few folks who got screwed over and have no resources or recourse, but it has damaged the reputation of far many EMPLOYERS, making it harder to recruit good, decent people in these tough economic times. We're offering opportunities for people to earn in excess of $75,000 during their first year here. This site and the misled posters are preventing good people from putting themselves in a better economic position for themselves and their families.

********Attention to all Folks considering a position with our Firm*************

We are a Nationwide Firm and have publishing contracts with over 9,000 Institutions. We have well over 125,000 customers nationally. We currently operate in 41 of the 50 states. We maintain an exceptional rating with the Better Business Bureau. Look it up. Some of these stories here on this site are simply out of touch with reality. It's as if a 4 year old broke a Cardinal House Rule and threw an out of control temper tantrum. They'll say and do anything.

Here, on this site, is the perfect example.
