I wanted to express my concerns about recent stays at Studio 6 Tucson (4950 South Outlet Center Drive Tucson AZ 85706) and I have stayed at this location a number of times recently and have had nothing but terrible, and I mean TERRIBLE experiences with the staff and other guests.  

My experiences with this hotel are as follows:

No WIFI service for months when we were told it would be fixed later the first week.  I arrived there, needed to use the computer obviously, and was strung along, told it would be fixed later that week, so I stayed.  Called again, then it was going to be a little longer, eventually it became clear it was going to be over a month so I had to leave to go someplace else.

Dishonest and evasive office staff who don't want to refund prepaid nights, don't return receipts, don't honor reservations, and all manner of other overt dishonesty with day to day dealings with them.

Filthy rooms with food, crumbs, spit on the walls, walking on the carpets in bare feet leaves them black within minutes, I had a mattress soaked and I mean SOAKED with dried blood, someone must have been murdered on it.

A defective and cheap to begin with Microwave oven that had a door that stuck shut but would open part way allowing the Magnetron to run, of course and allowing radiation to escape from it.

I had housekeeping, most of them Hispanic women who did not speak English, at one time spend two hours pretending to "Clean" the rooms next to me.  Actually they were over there watching TV, pounding on the walls and baseboards so hard that the walls shook, and the mirrors and wall art on the walls vibrated so much I thought they would break.    She took a break while the Pizza guy came by to deliver my food, but she had to walk past my open door and stare and glare at me after her first two hour stint of harassing me in my room.   

Another housekeeper would clean that same room another time, open the door so violently slamming it into the door stop on the wall again,  I thought she would break THROUGH the wall and destroy the glass covered wall art.  It was too much.

Residents of that room arrived later one evening, hang around all hours smoking and having coffee outside my door, pounded on the walls with their palms off and on for an hour or more.  And then left the next day.

Other guests arrived in the same room next door, the one male guest opened the door again so loudly slamming it into the wall as the housekeeper did.  When I went out to dispose of my trash, he complained that I slammed the door and made the noise that he did.  His friend showed up another time, knocked on MY door, and when I went to answer it he was standing there wearing a Green Mexico TShirt and when I asked him what he wanted, I did so politely, he was surly and rude and claimed that he was knocking on HIS door, which made no sense either.

Another occasion I had a person standing outside my door and with big black work boots began kicking at the door leaving black marks on the outside of it.  His friend, again in that same room next to mine, I observed reaching around and out his open door, knock on my door.  When I opened it to see who he was, his friend who kicked the door shoved his hand in my face and pointed to the older and taller person in the room next to mine and said he did it.  This guy then shoves his hand in my face and points down the walkway to two other people 4 rooms down who dumped their cooler off the balcony and he claimed they did it.  They of course said to me that this guy did it standing next to me and I of course knew that already.

Management's response to all of this included the one short night manager coming to my room, attempting to intimidate me, went on to imply they had to call the police because of me, to which I said that makes no sense since these people were pounding on my door and walls.  He then indicated that he had TEN police officers out there and this was of course supposed to add extra drama and threat to me for some reason, and I said that they were wasting their time and so was he.  He went on to now call me rude, he lied to me telling me that his housekeepers were cleaning the dresser and that caused the walls to shake for 2 hours and I said this is hogwash.  He then started to defer to the details of their policy as to what trash day I had and I just said I toss mine out whenever I want, there are larger concerns here and to that, he decided he has insulted me enough and lied to me enough and left it at that.

His other day manager at one point started defending his Mexican friend, and as I pointed out it really is not my concern what room he is in, and the manager then for some reason saw fit to explain to me it was none of my business.  I pointed out that knocking on my door and then saying he was knocking on his door would basically remove that person's right to keep what room he was in from me.  Since it seemed he might claim he wanted to be in mine and now he is standing at my door wanting to come, not making a lot of sense, and this was the problem.  The manager still then was looking to find fault with me, indicating that I was now going door to door knocking on doors, which is absurd.  I had so much work to do I for some weeks only went out once or twice a week. 

I explained this was not happening either and I'd have no reason to go door to door, these people were pounding on mine and then offering that foolish reply when I answered.  He then contradicts himself and asks "Do you leave your room at all" and to that I said yes, I come and go as I please like all the other people here, that is up to me.  I think eventually he realized he was getting nowhere attempting to blame me for his friends messes they are making.  This clearly was him protecting his fellow Hispanics, and that of his illegal alien housekeepers.   These people started this trouble during the day when they were around, then waited for a number of hours for them to be off duty and then had the police come and attempt to blame me for something.  It was an obvious coverup and attempt to blame me for their nonsense.  It did not work.

Beyond that and in keeping with the foolish crap that went on, those who knocked on my door claimed to work for the railroad, not sure why you'd harass me then announce where you worked, I think you'd offer less information than more.  But they would come home from work with their clothes CAKED with dark black axle grease.  Where did all that go?  Right into the washing machines.  So if you thought you were going to clean your clothes, you are in for a surprise since they will come out ruined, smelling of solvents, and covered in a thick film of crud.  

At some point management has to bite the bullet and tell some people they don't need their business even if they work for the railroad.  I think they would prefer to have neat, tidy, clean, and respectful people stay there.  It seems they just want grease balls hanging around.  Hard to know.  Not worth the bother, stay someplace else.
