Subco, Inc. Aka Elbon Enterprises, Inc. Maxim Magazine Has No Control Over It's Subscribers Only SUBCO Does That For Them -WTF Fresno, California

I just received the Feb 2011 issue of Maxim Magazine in the mail but had not requested a subscription.  When I contacted Maxim's Subscription Dept (386-447-6312) to question them and cancel this order, they said 'Sorry, but this already paid for and when I asked who paid for it Maxim Said it was paid for by Subco Inc. so you must contact them at 800-258-3350 to cancel.'  I find it interesting that Maxim cannot cancel their own subscription that they  mailing out in the first place.

A call to Subco in Fresno, CA, received no response yet but others have, and I will be watching closely to see if I receive a bill for this unsolicited subscription.  I'm wondering how long it will be before I also start getting calls in an attempt to collect on this bill when it is never paid by me.

Based upon other complaints I've seen on the web and here, I am of the opinion that Maxim magazine and Subco Inc. are all in collusion to generate unsolicited subscriptions pushing up their advertising revenue and then billing people for stuff they did not want in the first place.   This is consumer fraud and fraud upon the folks who place adds in this magazine.
