Suddenlink offers cable modem and phone service in the North Texas area. The Internet services is, and has been atrocious, for the past 1 1/2 years. I experience multiple Internet and phone outages daily.
It took Suddenlink a year to acknowledge that there were problems in the area. North Texas customers are now greeted with a message indicating that Suddenlink is aware of the problem and is work diligently to correct it when calling Technical Support. The message has been playing for over a month.
I recently called Suddenlink to find where to view call information for the Internet phones (no monthly statements). I was directed to their website for the information. The information on the website only provided details for outgoing calls made by the phone service. When I inquired to find information about incoming call information, I was told I would need a "Subpoena" to access the information.
This ISP is the biggest RIP OFF ever. Customers beware.

It took two years, however the problem has been resolved. The issue stemmed from a filter put inline at the junction box. The filter was designed to block TV signals but was causing Internet signals to drop. As soon as the filter was removed, the original problem went away and has not returned.

Issue with drops was determined to be related to the filter at the junction box. After the filter was removed no further drops occurred. It took almost two years from them to figure this out.

I understand the June 12 outage you referred to was caused by a rare equipment failure; that situation was corrected as quickly as circumstances allowed, and (from local reports) service has been stable since then. We've also been able to assist another customer in your area -- experiencing similar issues -- and would like to do the same for you. Per my earlier note, if you're still experiencing problems, please email me at pete.abel@suddenlink.com, and we will get the process started. Thanks.
