Today I recieved a phone call from a man named Ralph. Said he was from Summerwinds resort. Asked my name and said, u put ur name in a drawing for a car or $10,000 cash. I said Yes i did almost fallen to the floor thinking i won something. He said well.. your name is still in the drawing for that stuff, but 11 people got picked out of the drawing for a special offer and i was one of the lucky people.
He said i won a 3 day 2 night trip to branson missiouri. i thought well thats was cool. he said i got to take a family of 5 or 4 adults. He said I get a discount on food, free hotel with a bonus if we come up on a sunday monday or a tuesday that would also be free. then went on about how awesome the shows were and that this was the best deal ever on and on. said this is a promational offer of this resort and the only catch was that we need to come down and give them our feedback on the resort. H ewanted to make sure my family made at least 40,000. I said due to the economy i dont think anyone here is making that much anymore, he said ohhh i say u do anyways.
I kept listening.he said it cost us 139.00 I said ok then he wanted my credit card, i told him i would do no such thing. then he wanted my checking or saving account. told him nope. that he can talk to my husband later. then he asked me if any one in my family has been in the military. i said yes my father was. he said Oh well i can give you a 30% discount for that, now do u want to do it? i said no i have no money
He went on and on how he use to travel here and on and on he went.
he gave me a phone number to call him back at, once i talked to my husband.
I didnt call back
He calls later the same night, I gave the phone to my husband. he gave the same speel to my husband and told him to go to the missiour.com website. he said see look how cheap of a deal this is. we said to call back and give us time to think about it.
Now that i just happen see the report from the lady before its the YUP to good to be true. Warning to all!!!

NO SUCH THING AS FREE OR DISCOUNT IN BRANSON

I live and work in Branson and have also worked for a timeshare so I'm very familiar on how it works.  First of all, to all you tourist who are in Branson looking for discounted/free tickets, sign up to win a car, vacation or cash - THIS IS 99.9% OF THE TIME A TIMESHARE TOUR REQUIREMENT.  You are required to take a 90 minute tour, which, if you let them, will turn into a 3-5 hour tour, which messes up your day.  They start you off with a timeshare sales executive, he/she then brings in their money person, then if that doesn't work they bring in one of their Sales Managers and if that doesn't work they will bring in the Project Director.  I had one SE who had a young farm couple who wanted to buy, but couldn't. If you come from a farming family, like I do, then you would understand why.  The wife was crying because the husband said no so the SE went to one of our Sales Managers and asked what to do.  He told her to use it.  Say to the husband look at what you're doing to your wife.  EXCUSE ME - BUT THAT IS WRONG.  I was an Admin. so I jumped him and told him that was wrong and he has no idea what it's like to be a farmer - you can't just leave when you want to.  Not all SE's or their managers are bad, but the bad one's give the good one's a bad rep. 

If you want to come to Branson - my advice would be to just call the hotel DIRECTLY to book your rooms.  If they have a ticket office in their hotel, book the tickets there, but make sure they're not charging you a service fee - if they are book DIRECTLY with the theatres.  STAY AWAY FROM TIMESHARES and ANYTHING THAT HAS VACATION IN THEIR TITLE.  You book with one hotel and when you get to Branson they have you in another one. 

Nothing is ever free in Branson - if you come here looking for free or discounted you WILL GET SCREWED - and it's no one's fault but YOUR OWN!!

Correct Package Information

I wanted to first go over the $30.00 meal coupon. We do offer a coupon book that is sold in town to our guests for free, and also with most of our packages give a $30.00 dinner voucher to use at a select number of restaurants, and great restaurants also. On this specifice package the guest did get a $30.00 dinner voucher as promised.
Again after his tour he did sign up again for a post evaluation, yet another presentation and for that did get another cash gift for attending. So two presentations, Initial price $99.00 with 2 nights hotel, 2 museum tickets, $30.00 voucher and $40.00 cash back. Not bad. We thank him for attending and are sorry it took too much of his time. We find generally when customers are interested it does take longer because these customers have more questions, that if you are not interested you have none. And it did note that you did want to purchases, again we are sorry for any inconvenience, and we are happy that you did get a great savings package to Branson.

I believe that it is to good to be true. I was just at the Summer Winds Resort on 1/30/09 to 2/1/09 my stay was okay but it was nothing like what I expected and what I mean by that is the deals that you offer when selling your vacation packages.

1.You don't get a 30$ meal coupon what they fail to tell you is that, that meal coupons for the restaurant takes 15% gratuity off of that meal coupon ( my wife and I total was around 62.00% we ended up paying a total of 48$ so there for we did not get a full 30$ off our meal.

2.) They also don't tell you that you have to pick from two restaurant you can not use it at any place that you like.

3.) The seminar that you have to set through states that it is at least 90 min, okay that is fine what I have a problem with is setting there for almost 3 hours sorry to tell you people but after about an hour and a half you no longer had my attention I did not care what kind of deals I was getting.

4.) Last but not least your little 30 min evaluation thing that is a joke to if he could have kept around 30 to 45 min I probably would have bought the membership did that happen NO that deal I was interested in but since it took and hour and a half to tell me all about it I was tiered of listening and the money that you receive for going I was told I would be paid in cash was I NO of course not I got a check.

So in the end my stay at Branson Missouri was okay will I be back probably will i buy another package like that probably not there is to much misleading information about all of it I don't mind doing stuff like this but there is no need to lie to me about it just to get me to do it.
