Sun Resolution Group, Mr. Barry Fraudulent Debt Collector, Pay Day Loans PORT ST LUCIE, Florida

On 7/16/2013 at approximarly 12 noon I recieved the following text from my ex wife:

"Bill, it's imperative that you call me asap. Felony charges are pending against you from payday loan (son) and (daughter) and (friend) listed as references and can be prosecuted also which I'm sure you don't want Again, call me asap."

At the time I was hospitalized and I contacted the number given tome by my ex wife and spoke to Mr. Barry of the Sun Resolution Group. He told me I had defaulted on a payday loan. I was being charged with felony interstate check fraud unless I paid the balance-$2019.94. I asked the name of the loan company, I have had two payday loans in the past, but have never defaulted on one and I did not recognize this company name.
Since I was unable to pay the balance Mr. Barry offered to allow me to make a 10% “good faith” payment and payments every month until the full amount was paid. (but only by Green Dot MoneyPak card or Moneygram-a sure sign of a scam I learned later) .
I wasn’t able to raise enough money to pay the good faith payment in the time frame Mr. Barry demanded and resigned myself to defending myself in court. Over the weekend I researched “debt collection” and “felony charges for payday loan” on Google and was amazed. I hadn’t been very familiar with the laws and standards. I discovered the FDCFPA-the fair debt collection practices act. I found out all my rights and that neither I nor my references could be charged criminally.
After verifying this with a lawyer I broke off all contact with Mr. Barry, reported Sun to the Missouri, and Florida Attorney Generals and reported themto the FBI on ic3. I have done some research on Sun Resolution Group and found some posts that reference other people’s dealings with the Sun Resolution Group.
