Colin from Sunbird FX contacted me and because it was a foreign number I didn't answer the phone, but then one day I answered, and I wish I never did.
He persuaded me to invest money into Sunbird FX and said they will do the trading for me because I told him I don't know anything about trading.
As he spoke to me on the phone he waited for me to open and account and the first thing he showed me was the "Withdrawl" button on the page where I can withdraw my money "whenever I want to."
He also said, when I told him that I don't have money to throw around that they are the trading company for the little people because I can start with a small investment of $100. Dumb as I was, I did. Interestingly enough, when I wanted to do the payment, I accidentally blocked my card and had to go to the bank to get it fixed.
I should have known that was my first warning not to do it.
But after I unlocked my card, I did do the $100 deposit, for wich Colin called me twice again, I should have known he sounded far too desperate.
Kendra called me, she was the one who was going to help me with the trading, and I'm not saying I'm dumb, but I don't understand anything when it comes to trading, pips and all that stuff.
Kendra asked for my password and offered to trade for me. She phoned me a week later and showed me how she made my some money, $14 on top of my $100.
A week later someone phoned, I don't have an email from her, so I can't remember her name. She said that they are struggling to make a profit with the small amount, investing a bigger amount would be better because then they can trade more. Luckily I didn't have any more money, they took everything I had. Yes, I only had $100, my hubby had a heart attack and had to stop working. I thought I could grow that $100 with Sunbird FX.
But I also felt uneasy after she phoned me and decided that I want to withdraw the money. I had to open a Payoneer account, according to Sunbird FX. I did. There is no option in Payoneer for Sunbird FX to withdraw your money.
I sent Colin Allan an email telling him of this and saying to him that I need the money. My hubby was not getting a salary anymore and we really needed our own money back.
Suddenly I could not log into the account, they changed my login details. So I changed the password because it was still connected to my email address. When I finally did get into my account it was empty. The $100 changed to $0. Zero. Nada. Nothing. All gone.
When they phoned me after I sent Colin the email telling him that I'm going to expose them, that day, I was sitting outside my hubby's workplace where he had to hand in his exit forms to exit out of his job. I was crying the entire time. While speaking to him on the phone too, I told him that my hubby had a heart attack and we needed that money. I know $100 is not much, but if you have nothing, there's a hell of a lot you can do with it. Those people don't have hearts and they don't care about who they are stealing from.
Oh, and by the way, they advertise when you open an account you get a 50% bonus - never saw that either.
So in the end, just want to warn everybody - Stay away from Sunbird FX! Afterwards, I found this article: Sunbird FX scam warning.
