My spouse & I have been long time SunCom customers. We have a total of ten lines of services each with current two year agreements. Our bill normally averages about $500.00 per month.

I decided to go prepaid since I dont use my line very often. I contacted SunCom about porting my line of service. A few days later, SunCom sent me an offer to get $100.00 off a new line in addition to getting 2 free months of service or a 15% discount if I agreed to keep my line active for an additional 2 years. Wow! I sounded like a great deal, so of course I called to confirm my eyes were reading the truth. The representative assured me that it was legit and valid.

One today, January 2, 2008, I contacted SunCom to renew the agreement and accepted one of the offers. I was very rudely informed that I did not qualify for any of these offers because I had just activated this subscription in August 2007. According to this rep, I did not have the services long enough to get this deal. She would not reason with the fact that we had been with SunCom since 2005 and pay her company over $500.00 a month for services. I could not understand why a previous rep did not tell me this. Didnt SunCom review my account before it sent the letter out? Doesnt the account records show when I activated this line of service? Didnt the previous associate have access to the same records? Why should I doubt what sent to me in writing and confirmed over the phone by this company? I am lead to believe that SunCom lies to its customers. This company does not value long time valuable customers.

Of course I am upset customer because I was given incorrect and misleading information. I had also declined a lucrative offer from another company based on the incorrect information given by SunCom.

I pay this company over $500.00 a month for 10 lines of service. Thats $6,000 a year or $12,000 for two years. And hey thats not including any overage, additional usage, downloads, call tones, etc.

Time is valuable and in todays society, there just isnt enough. I just dont have the time to call any company three or four times just to make sure that I given the correct information. I mean the representatives are the professional. They should know how to look up and read the correct information or if they cant then they should ask someone who knows.
