Sunmount DDSO & Ray Tarbox son was mistreated and fired after being set up.. there are witnesses.. should receive compensation of some sort mistreated and ripped off Tupper Lake New York

My son was working for Sunmount and was doing fine until a well known trouble maker named Raymond Tarbox started giving my young son a hard time. My son worked very hard to get the pass days he wanted because he wanted to attend college...it was working out just fine...he is very ambitious and very quiet. Mr Tarbox wanted Gabe in another unit because he wanted his girlfriend to work in the Ribit with him...Gabe refused stating that he did'nt want to go to another unit because he may lose his pass days for college. Well this did'nt make Mr. Tarbox happy one bit and he started picking on Gabe to upset him. He started calling him "little gay boy" and after doing this repeatedly...
Mr. Tarbox got one or more of the clients in on it and they consistently harrassed my son to the point that Gabe finally told one of the clients to stop and when he would'nt after warning him...Gabe got up and pushed the client up against the wall and told him to knock it off. This is really unlike Gabe...he must have been pushed over the edge. This was totally unfair and unbelievable that my son was fired and it was unjust. Mr. Tarbox is a trouble maker...he should have been the one fired. Gabe did'nt persue this because Mr. Tarbox would probably cause problems.
Mr. Tarbox would sleep on the job repeatedly. One of the workers...Vonna Fronterra told us that Gabe was set up and it was wrong. She said that Mr. Tarbox was unmerciful. I expect compensation for such a travesty. I hear all the time that some of the workers are worse than the clients...Mr. Tarbox is one of them. Furthermore...my husband contacted the union and they told him that Gabe was cleared to go back...talk about confusing. Totally wrong...I want to see something done for my son!
He is now struggling by working a McDonald's to pay for college...he has been punished wrongfully!!! BTW...he is NOT gay!

Gossip at Sunmount
There are many people up at Sunmount who have nothing better to do then talk about there co-workers behind there backs. But the funny thing is to their faces they act like they are your friends. And they are "just trying to look out for you". When in all actuality it is all about the jealousy. Making comments about how people are dressing how they talk and even the way they walk. Situations at work are sometimes hard to deal with and everyone has their own way of dealing with things, but most of the time if you don't do it Senior staff way its the wrong way. Senior staff can handle a situation the same way we do and its ok, its not fair and quite frankly its a bunch of BS. Instead of talking S*** behind backs of so called "friends" and fellow employees, they need to start worrying about their own appearance and job performance. To all the staff at the RIT Thank you the positive insite on how to talk and handle situations with the people we serve at Sunmount DDSO.

I have worked for Sunmount for awhile and I have seen alot of backstabbing, I will not put up with that! I will strike back in any way I can. I know my enemies and will retaliate. Thats pretty bad when a co-worker turns you in for leaving unit to sign out on their regular unit. See you soon unit 9 staff!

This site exists for the sole purpose of helping people identify scams, abusive people, illegal business practices, etc. The young man in question was apparently not being entirely truthful about what happened and his mother clarified that later. However you admit to not behaving in the most professional ways yourself. Most of the people who post on here are pretty intelligent and are able to discern the truth of the situations posted. This is NOT the first time something negative has been posted about Sunmount nor was the author the first to post about that company. It appears to me that there are some very serious problems with that little town of Tupper Lake, NY.
If you don't like such negative things reported about you then get your head straightened out and find a better line of work more suited to your temperment.

Well... it's me Debbie again. I have learned quite a lesson in this...don't bellieve all you hear! All places have rumors and to run with those things and take them as pure truth can put you in an awkward position and cause friction for others...some people invent things to see the reaction of others...it can feed an already hot situation and cause it to explode like it did here. I take full responsibility and am sorry for believing some of the lies and throwing them out to this community. Thank you Vonna for telling me the truth...I should never have listened to things that were second hand information! Ray...you are obviously not the monster you were made out to be!

This is Gabe. The person this report is about. Most of this post is all BS. I was miserable towards a lot of people up at Sunmount because I disliked the job and I regret that. MOST of them are great people to work with. This site should not be used to post rumors or stories someone hears until they find out the truth.

I am the person that filed the report against Ray and I mentioned the name of Vonna...It was the dumbest thing I ever did in my life...and I have done some dumb things. Yes my son was fired and there were some incidents...none of which "HE" told me about. In fact my son never even talked to me about it...I found out throught word of mouth and wrote down some of the comments out of a "MOTHER'S ANGER"...one that has a hard time letting go and letting my son live his own life. I am so sorry for causing problems...especially for Vonna...who told me nothing even remotely harming for Mr. Tarbox...which I found through other sources. Vonna comes into this because she happened to work in the same unit and I asked her some questions. I apologize...I know it is late...but it is very sincere! And to the lady that responded...YOU ARE RIGHT! I have no business asking for compensation...another stupid comment...the anger I felt for what happened built up for a while and I let it go and lashed out...very wrongly!

I think that the practices of the State for Sunmount workers is a travesty...resulting in employees being put in harms way...there is no defense for the employees...the clients have the run of the mill so to speak.
They are "Criminals" and should be treated as such! They have more rights than the workers and that is wrong. Mrs Tarbox is another story...
The above mentioned incident was not a fair result on the employees behalf...he was cleared and fired...the client got away...the criminal got away with it...totally wrong!

ray use to be this sort of freak in his younger days. he was a nerdy little asthmatic freak, with no girlfriends, no friends etc....he ran off to the service to try to get a life!
when ray came back, he was buff and all the girls were slimbing all over him. whats with this?! i dont get it....maybe the women of tupper are just running out of lovers in this poor, sad little town!! LOL.....

Hello? If your son is attending college that means he is at least 18. And if he was treated this badly and harrassed by this Mr. Tarbox, your son should consult with an attorney. HOWEVER....he assaulted a client! No matter what this client was doing or saying to him your son had NO RIGHT to commit an assault and battery against this other person! There is NO JUSTIFICATION for your son's actions WHATSOEVER! And the fact that YOU feel a need to somehow justify his actions is just as disgusting. Your son will be lucky if that client doesn't sue HIM for laying hands on him!
What is it with you people in Tupper Lake anyway?
