Sunnova Solar, Top Choice Solar Deception, mislead, dishonest, Total lack of integrity Houston Texas Nationwide

In July 2014 my wife and I agreed to lease a 10 KW DC solar system from Sunnova Solar. In October of that same year, Top Choice Solar came and installed the system. During the installation, the foreman of the crew asked me if I would mind having some of the panels put on the front of my house? Apparently, the installation of half the panels would require a special bracket and it would be easier to install on the front of the house. I asked about the production of power and i was assured that the panels would still produce at 80% when the Sun went to the Back of the House. In October, after the system was up and running, I advised Sunnova that the system was not producing the !0KW DC at any time during any day, I was advised that I had to be patient. In November the system never produced 10KW DC at any point during any day, again I was advised to be patient. In December, you guessed it. So in January 2015 I filed a complaint with Sunnova stating that the system was not saving me any money on my electricity because the system was not producing what we had agreed to upon signing the lease. For four months I was ignored by Sunnova even though I was calling and E-Mailing every other day. Finally they sent out a representative who told me that I was an idiot and the system would never produce 10 KW DC. I then complained to the Nevada Contractors Board. Top Choice sent out a representive who told me that because of the way the system had been installed, it would never produce 10 KW DC at any point of any day. He agreed that the panels would have to be moved from the front of the house or more panels added to the back for the system to produce 10 KW DC at any point during any given day. I had Nevada Energy come out and do an audit when I got a $300 bill for electricity on top of the amount I was paying Sunnova. Nevada Energy did a complete audit of our System and determined that the system that Sunnova had paid Top Choice to install would never overcome my energy use.

You might be thinking that I had Solar installed because I am a champion of Green energy and that I want to spend more money on my electricity to save the planet, if you believe that you would be wrong. The only reason I talked my wife into getting Solar was to save money, this never happened with Sunnova Solar.

Eventually I stopped paying and they promptly offered to lower my payment, we refused because the amount would still be too high to save money on our electric bill. Since then we have been called daily looking for payment with either my wife or myself simply asking for the system we agreed upon and we would bring the account current. We have now had the system turned off and have been begging Sunnova to just come and take the thing away.

This has been a Nighmare for us. The constant harrasment has ruined our lives. I truly wish Sunnova had honored their committment but it has become obvious that they are below Pond Scum as Human Beings.
