Sunny Katoch, also known as Sandeep Katoch (radhem74@gmail.com) had contacted me on social media regarding work, early on after I had gotten a project. I do hire freelancers from time to time, and he seemed harmless. So I gave him a project, and he completed it successfully.

During the QA phase of the project, he kept telling me that things were done when they were not done. I let this go, but the problem would soon get worse. He kept making me look stupid.

After that, I put him on a second project for the same client. He literally did nothing for a month, kept promising me that I would see something. He did not deliver. He left me with a client breathing down my neck, and a website that was broken. At no time did he even acknowledge that he understood what was going on.

About two weeks into the project, he tried to change the terms we had agreed at the beginning, demanding a higher hourly rate. I gave him what he had asked for and more. This did not help the abscent productivity, and Sunny's flagrant disregard for professionalism.

A month into this project, that should have taken two weeks, I fired him. I had been paying him every week up until this point without fail or question. But I got tired of running my budget into the ground with nothing to show for it. The work itself was simple, and easy to understand.

He was jerking off on my dime, demanding to be paid for nothing.

I had communicated why he was being let go. His response was to contact my client in broken english, and tell him what an a*****e I was. He tried to steal my client on two occasions that I can document. Then he contacted the client again, asking them to pay him. This is well beyond the pale. 

Then, he threatened that same client with negative s****.>

This is an ongoing pattern of bad behavior with this person. I'm glad I revoked his access, because I learned later that entire web servers he's worked on had mysteriously come up deleted when he left on bad terms. He's left at least one other domestic agency that I know of in this way.

Sunny Katoch has no work ethic in my opinion, no business ethic in my opinion, and he thinks nothing of slandering you behind your back. This is not the kind of person you want working on your mission critical projects. If you hire freelancers through upwork or other means, avoid this person like the plague. He's a walking outsourcing horror story.
