Super 8 - I was given a room full of bad bugs and denied the rights to cancel my reservations Gatlinburg Tennessee

We did not really plan this trip to Smokey Mountains; we made the decision one day prior to the trip. But we thought we did not need much planning since it is a tourist area; and that all we needed is hotel reservation. The very first night at super 8 at Gatlinburg Tennessee, my two kids (3 and 5 years old) got bit by an important number of bad bugs. Their hands, feet, belly, face and back were full of numerous bites in the morning. Fortunately, I had this sixth sense, most of us parents have, to check on them on my way to the bathroom about 6 a.m. I killed at least six of the bugs, but I'm sure there were so many more. I am 100% sure it was bad bugs; I've read all about them in the past, what they look like and their habits. What's most annoying is that the hotel staff did know about it and they had the hotel sprayed according to them about a week prior to our arrival. Needless to say I asked them to cancel my reservation for the second day, but they said it's up to Expedia.com and it is out of their control. I really felt outraged and betrayed. Not only did my children's little bodies become covered with bites, I was forced to spend another night at a different room with no guarantee that it wouldn't have bad bugs. I did not want to ruin our weekend so I did not bother calling expedia or press charges against the hotel.

On the way back, we had to put all our belongings in trash bags before putting them into the car trunk. Also, we had to iron all the stuff we wore for the two days we stayed there, and then strip naked right before going into my house and put all our clothes in trash bags for laundry at hot temperature. Hopefully, this would save us from bringing the bug home. I would never ever go to Super 8 hotels and will tell my story to everyone I know and don't.
