I used to work for this crew.

Before leaving to join I was explained to that, all travel, transportation and lodging would be paid for for the first two weeks we would recieve 500 dollars after out first month and other fabricated promises. I was sent off by bus to a town to meet up with the magazine crew. I was told to study a book that may be useful in selling magazines. Over the time spent I relized I was slowly signing a death certificate. I worked 12 hours 6 days a week. I was always stopped or sited or both by cops who asked for a sales permit. The magazine managers didn't feel it to be neccessary to file for a sales permit every state we traveled. I recieved 20 dollars a day if I sold over 3 mag. 15 dollars if I sold 2 and 10 if I sold 1 or less. I had to survive on this money to pay for food, hygiene, laundry soap, machines, and souvineours if possible. We were constently harrast by the owner of the business or the manager Jeff that we were not making enough sales and that he was ready to retire. Many people in this crew were evading arrest. So the job to travel was a plus for them. Many of the members were verbally abused everyday and some physically by the manager. Some were not as lucky and were left behind states away without bus fare. Some rules consist of making "agent" before you can share a room with your boy or girlfriend. wife or fiancee. We transported in 15 passanger vans and during our drives to different states slept in the vans since we had no money to rent rooms. I stayed doing this for 4 months. Until I forced myself to gather the nuts and leave for home. I just hope that anyone pursuing anything like this be very very careful. Especially if you get this crew. I wish that someone would put an end to these crews or just this one.I have gone to counciling and am finally able to be open and not afraid.
